If you were GM, all things considered (age, contract, etc...), which QB's would you trade for Tannehill straight up? Would you trade him for an early first round pick?

I really think Ryan is in the Philbin quandary. Both have 4 years and are average. Nothing special. Joe can blame a lack of talent, a bad GM, and Ryan can blame a bad oline.
But with a new regime coming in, I feel we need a new direction as well. Getting a GM and HC in place and going with who they want to lead the offense.
It's just an old, been there 4 years, failed that for both Joe and Ryan. We need a new start. Something fresh.

No idea who or what I'd trade him for. Maybe the Browns would bite with some picks. I'm not sure any team would give a high 1st for him.

I would take Blake Bortles, Mariota, Winston, cousins, Stafford, Dalton and Derek Carr over Tannehill. I've seen enough from Tannehill to know he isn't good enough

With what we have invested in him......it's Tannehill. This years free agents are really bad. I'm not sold on Goff or Lynch to make a move to a rookie.

I am actually putting a line I feel confident in to run the ball and protect the QB. I would add another TE to go with Sims and do more 12 Personnel. Then I could make a true assessment on the current CB.

Heard that from Bengals fans last year, Lions fans this year, Bortles will be up next. The joy of NFL fandom.

Houston would gladly take him off our hands.
I'm giving him another year regardless.
I would love to watch him throw without pressure in the face and o linemen on his feet

While you may be right about tannehill being average, its easy to find an average coach, its not to find an average starting qb. Took us 13 years to even find an average qb. Teams like the browns, tampa bay and a few other teams have gone 20+ years without finding an average qb. Personally i think we cant judge tannehill given the oline, no qb will show his potential behind that line whether it is average or elite potential.
