Found this on NFL.com and didn't see it posted anywhere. Not much to it, but I wanted to hear some thoughts on the comparisons here.

" He's playing like a cross of 2012 Robert Griffin III and 2013 Nick Foles.Tannehill is playing under control, but the biggest improvements have come from the players and scheme around him. Jarvis Landry, Mike Wallace and Lamar Miller are making plays for Tannehill. (Landry is a keeper as a versatile, fluid wideout who can do a little of everything.) Tannehill had all day to throw against San Diego, and he's more than capable of pulling off four to five impressive athletic feats per game. He did it as a rookie, too."

ehhh he's better than those 2...

I'm with you. I think with the read option being introduced to the NFL a lot more during the 2012 season helped RGIII a lot his rookie year. That, and the Shanahan's. I know his injuries have probably hurt his development, but he has not looked good at all since he went down in that playoff game. Nick Foles played great for Philly last year, but look at the system they have in place there with Chip Kelly. Sanchez came in last week in relief for Philly and actually performed well. Well enough even to stir up talks of Sanchez replacing Foles even when hes healthy.

I always thought during last season that if Tannehill was able to play in a system like Philly's he would be great. For his first two seasons he was an athlete learning to play the QB position, and a read option system would've allowed him to use his athletic ability. However, looking back now, the way Sherman used him may have been a blessing in disguise, because he now is looking like a QB that has the ability to play like an athlete.

Once i heard we had a chance to get Lazor i was watching Finheaven everyday in hopes to see that we landed him, and if we did i hoped he would bring that offense with him. Things are starting to come together it seems, and Tannehill stated Lazor has learned what ALL of the players on the offense do well and it's showing on the field. Hope they can keep getting better and better!

I'm going to boldly predict Tannehill will score a TD on a deep ball Sunday, but the target will be Landry (or maybe Gator).

Man i sure hope so. The offense has looked efficient and the chunk plays have been coming in bunches as of late. If we hit one deep early, i have no doubt we win Sunday. Our offense has already looked overwhelming for defenses at times with all the shifts, motions, and options they have to account for. Not to mention if we can get an early lead, our defense will be able to play their brand of football.

If we start to get more tempo to the offense, and hit a deep ball here and there over the last half of this season we can make a run. Our defense has looked THAT good as of late, and if our offense can keep up the consistency..... get ready for some Miami Dolphins football in January.

I think the Shanahan's hurt RGIII development. And I'm no RGIII fan, was totally against the pick but I know some wanted us to trade our entire draft to move up and get him. Anyway, Shanahan changed the offense early on to reflect more of the college offense he ran at Baylor...defenses caught on and basically shut him down. They never developed him in the pocket. Not that RGIII would have stayed in the pocket regardless...he has a tendency to leave a clean pocket to look downfield. Despite his measured size, he plays small behind the LOS...I think he has issues seeing past his lineman.

Then it must be so...I said a similar thing in this thread

I'm going 30-13 dolphins. One of these scores will be a deep ball, not necessarily to Wallace.

30-13 might be a bit excessive.

Big Play Clay, since I'm starting him on my fantasy team.

I don't disagree with the fact that RGIII's development may have been hurt by the Shanahan's. I do however believe by changing the offense to be more like Baylor's benefited him greatly (in 12'), and the read option helped him out because it was "new" to the NFL. Like you said once the defenses caught on they shut him down because hes not a pocket passer and if his first read isn't open he starts to get antsy.

I don't know about us getting 30 on the road, but i could definitely see us getting 24-27 and that will be enough. Our defense will have their chances to create more opportunities for our offense because Stafford will throw a couple questionable balls once he starts feeling the pressure the hits start coming from our defensive line.

27-16
