So far this year, RT has had no pressure 119 times. He ran twice, completed 66% for a 6.6 avg, 5 TD's, and a QBR of 92.

He has been under pressure 49 times. He ran twice, completed 42% for a 3.3 avg, 1 TD, ad a QBR of 49.

So, in spite of the "improved" protection, he has had his play disrupted about a third of the time, ad 38 of those times were vs Buff and KC. This has to improve.

According to these stats Ryan is under pressure a third of the times we pass. That seems really high but if true it certainly must improve.

Real simple....our guards haven't gotten it done against good lines in pass protect.

In last year's first 4 games, he threw 164 times and was under pressure on 59 of them. The big difference was 18 sacks vs 9 this year but, the overall pressure was about the same. This is the improvement. However, I see where he has shaved a tenth of a second off his average time to throw, which has made a difference on some sacks where he has gotten rid of the ball quicker, along with Lazor play calls.

What's the difference between blitz vs no blitz, if you have that available?

My eyes tell me our pass offense is ****ing awful against pressure from 4 man rushes with 7 in coverage, but actually pretty decent when the pressure comes from blitzers. But I don't have any numbers to back that up.

Blitz 40 times- 57%, 6.6 avg, 3 TD's, and a QBR of 98.

No blitz 128 times- 61%, 5.9 avg, 3 TDs, and a QBR of 75.4.

Your eyes are on the money.

:idk:

Whatever the case may be, I need to see more pass offense like we saw against Oakland and less pass offense like what I saw against Buffalo.

What is the league average?

good question

Being pressured every third time you drop back seems high to me but i have nothing to back that up. Maybe that's close to the normal now a days.

Was Oakland a real read? Don't think so.

I think it was a real read of what Miami can do on a good day against a marginal defense with a run of the mill front 4. Just like I think Buffalo was a real read on what Miami can do on a bad day against a competent defense with great front 4.

to bad we cant break it down further between a blitz with man to man coverage which he seems to do really well against, or a more complex zone blitz.

Well the guard pressure allowed should improve with Pouncy and Shelly coming back. I would seriously consider Pouncy at RG. You can pull more often and use his ability better at guard.

Miami sometimes passes too much and Thill sometimes hangs onto the ball too long.
