Tannehill projected 2013 stats

3900 Passing Yards
26 TD's
11 Int's
63 % for completions
300 rushing yards
3 TD's
4 fumbles

In Tannehill's last 7 games (final 6 games of last season + 1 combine game this preseason) his stats are as follows.

1,551 Passing yards
195 Rushing Yards
9 Passing TD
1 Rushing TD
2 INT
4 Fumbles Lost

This translates to the following over a 16 game season

3,545 Yds Passing
446 Yds Rushing
23 TDs
14 Turnovers

When you consider the help brought in during the off season and his increased familiarity with the system in year 2, I expect his projected stats to be even better than what the numbers tell us above. But if not, can you live with what you see above? I can!!

Now combine these stats with a top 10 defense and an improved special teams and we have much to look forward to Dolfans!!!

I find your stats quite reasonable, and while I know we all would like more TDs/less INTs, this shows a lot of progress from year 1 to year 2.

1:1 TD to int ratio for 2013. Sorry boys, he hasn't shown much improvement.

Because he has looked so bad in pre-season, thrown so many INTs in pre-season, or his lack of getting any TDs in Pre-season? :err:

4100 pyds, 22 ptds, 4 rtds, 200 ryds, 10 int, 4 fum

Hmm hard call I think he will have more int than last year and definately more tds
I will say 22 tds 15 int
the rest im not sure of

Spot on with my prediction so far... 1 to 1 TD int ratio

To date that is amazingly accurate. Right now he is on pace for 22 TDs and 18 picks, just under 4000 yards.

Sorry for bringing this old thread up, but I thought it would be nice to look back and what we were thinking before the season started.

Tannehill is a a solid qb in the nfl. Thought it would take longer but he has progressed well despite needing better pocket awareness

And don't forget, he still has less games under center than some QBs have coming out of college

Tanney is doing fine -> he elevates everyone around him -> give him some semblance of a running game and the PA pass will inflate the TDs -> happens for all QBs but Henne (unfortunately)
