Not sure if this was posted anywhere else, but it's nice when one of our players ends up as a top performer. He has a lot of work to do before he takes the next step as a QB, and he has to continue to string together more consistent games, but the past few weeks he's put a foot in my mouth from how I felt about him in weeks 2 & 3. One of my favorite things is when a player shuts my mouth with his play on the field. Tannehill has shown up and needs to continue showing up. I was and still am a huge Tannehill supporter, but he really created more questions than answers at the beginning of the season. But he has shown that he is taking the steps to answer those questions as he gets more comfortable with Lazor's system. PHINS UP!!

but but but but but I thought we already got real with the final word on him? Didn't the NFL ever get that memo?

I am still on the fence with Tannehill but am encouraged that he may be turning the corner. I think many of us, myself included, were really disappointed after weeks 2-3. It's refreshing to see that someone can admit that he can look at his play in totality and admit he has played well after he had given up on him unlike those who have already decided there is no hope, yet have no viable solution and/or cling to their stance for that I told you so moment.

apparently, it's a final word that is subject to change...
And the proclamation came from one who chastised CK for changing his mind on won-loss predictions. Obviously I hope Tannehill becomes the guy but it will be that much sweeter having to watch someone who holds others to their words, go back on his.

Iron sharpens iron.

This is great but what exactly is an NFL "top performer"? How many people get these each week?

I have not changed my mind. Tannehill is not good. He had a good game.

Not yet. But Tannehill is obviously your starter through his rookie contract and thats plenty of time for you to change course.
