I think you need to recognize it was placed where it had to be. Away from the defender. And it was his primary read. If you want to blame anyone for that, blame Lazor for calling the predictable play.
 
Hard hits happen. Matthews was heading towards the middle of the field right? Bad **** happens there.
 
They weren't mocking Mathews at all. I hate the jets and the Dolphins wild have celebrated the same way had the roles been flipped
 
I wasn't there....not sure why RT would make that up if it didn't happen.

Mathews was going to get whacked regardless of the ball placement.

Im pretty sure its his peception and the big loss doesnt help his perception. I seriously doubt they knew he was injured.
 
Ryan mentioned during his presser that he heard a few Miami players talk about it (the Jets celebrating while Rishard was down) on the sidelines, so his comments were based on what he heard his teammates talk about.

Pretty obvious from my couch that Matthews was hurt so I'm sure on the field it was known. It's ok to cheer when you injure someone, just know it's classless
 
I really hate RT leadership qualities which are none....instead of complaining about the hit he should be saying how he needs to protect his receivers with better throws.....his offense doesn't show up until the game is over and he wants to pick a fight with the guy who blows up his receiver because of his poor throw.....Ryan put your efforts into putting points on the board in the first half.....this was the jets first game this yr they shut out an opponent in the first half....this is getting old, first lets blame the coach, the OC, offensive line, WR, defensive and now the other team for celebrating a hit.....its time for Ryan to grow up and stop being a punk.....
