Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill rushed for 47 yards in Week 9, including a long run of 22 yards. He now has a rush of at least 20 yards in each of his past four games. Tannehill joins Steve Young and Michael Vick as the only quarterbacks with a 20+ yard run in at least four consecutive games in the past 25 years.

That's pretty impressive that he has achieved something that none of the younger QBs known for their running abilities have achieved. Also referenced is the shut out that we handed to San Diego yesterday.

Miami's 37-0 shutout of San Diego was the Dolphins' first shutout in 123 games and their largest since a 42-0 win over Kansas City on Oct. 11, 1987. The Chargers were shutout for the first time since 1999, having scored in 241 straight games, which was the third-longest active streak.

That's pretty neat. Once he is more established I don't think we want that trend to continue but it is great for teams to have to account for him running. Certainly helps Miller and the RBs

It took us 3 years to realize how much potential this kid had running the ball. He is finally proving why he was picked 8th overall and im loving it. Great time to get it together, and carry us into the playoffs.

I just like the way he runs, low risk, slides early (usually) and lots of first down runs. keep running smart and gaining big.

Running is fine but he needs to learn not to fight for extra yards. Take the first down and slide before contact.

If he keeps his eyes downfield like the TD to Rashard, he could be Young

2 things: a) I think being a WR in college gives him a survival advantage. b) his runs are for the most part designed to keep him alive, that read option with Clay leading was as safe as it gets. I wonder if the DE doesn't close down is it designed for RT to hit Clay in the flat? that would be an indefensible play!!!!

Just no running in games where DJ Swearinger is playing. I still have dreams of doing evil things to that POS.

I hate that kid the most out of anyone not named Tom Brady. He is such a dirty scumbag, imagine Keller and Clay with Sims as the 3rd string. Damn that woulda been sweet. Just another reason for me to hate the Texans.

As long as Tannehill doesn't try to make a living running and runs wisely I'm all for it.
Adds a great dimension to the offense and gives other teams something for which to prepare.

I like to see us call his number to run. He puts the defense "on edge." Tannehill, being an ex-wr, knows how to take a hit. I think his experience as a receiver is a pretty big deal. He's a lot less likely to get injured than, say, Griffin.

That's something else I think a lot of people don't understand. Tannehill is not unfamiliar to being hit and knows how to do so. Guys like RG3 is built out of glass. I would have a hard time picking 5 current NFL QBs right now that I feel could survive as long as Tannehill did getting hit like he was last year.

Like I said earlier when a group of us were arguing about whether this was an actual read option - this ability to run will extend drives and I said when he figured this out it will be money as the first play against Dallas in the preseason puts every d coordinator on notice
