I was watching The Herd with Colin Cowherd. He had on Greg Cosell from NFL films. He says the play he broke down the most in the NFL this week was the TD to Wallace. He says Clay is the first read who goes into motion. Hartline was supposed to draw the safety off of Clay. The safety didn't go with Hartline so Tannehill didn't like Clay. He says Wallace was the 4th read left to right. When the ball is released Wallace was actually covered. He says Wallace was thrown open by Tannehill. Throwing with anticipation of where he will be.

Greg said this might be the best play he has ever seen from Tannehill. Big time play, going through progressions, reading the defense and throwing with anticipation. Our boy is growing up

Arians said it took until midway through the 2013 season for Palmer and the new offense in Arizona to click.

“It was Week 8 for us last year,’’ Arians said. “Then, all of a sudden, you could see the guys around him start to get it and play faster and play better. Instead of waiting to see a guy come open, he was throwing guys open.’’

Let's see if this is going to become a trend as he settles into the offense along with the receivers.

That was an incredible play by Ryan from start to finish.

As Tannehill realizes more and more that he can trust this OL, you`ll see him get into his 2nd and 3rd options more often. Yes, new system and all, but id bet the difference in OL play between this year and last required some major adjustments timing wise. I dont see how someone who`s been sacked 58 times in a single season could be comfortable while scanning for even a 2nd option... All that said, hope our QB has arrived...

You need protection in order to get to your 4th target but you also need some vision and patience.

I can't think of anything better. He even waited another split second for Wallace to get moving. Trajectory was very nice too.

What should frustrate all of us is in 2012 Greg Cosell said Tannehill was a better passer on the run then RG3 and Luck.

he’s a better, more accurate passer on the run than either Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin. Tannehill was very efficient off the boot-action pass game. That will translate very well to the NFL

You would think Sherman would have used that more frequently Tannehill would have been better faster

There is no "might," that was absolutely the best play from Tannehill thus far. I just hope he starts doing that with some consistency.

It was a great play but that pump fake sidearm throw is definitely honorable mention.

Great play. Another one I loved was the one to Landry against GB. I believe he initially might of wanted to go to his right. I think Clay was going into the flat and Wallace went into the corner of the endzone. Green Bay blitzed, Tanny read it perfectly and hit Landry over the db on his back foot.

Two plays that stick out in my mind are from last season. The first is the Ravens game on 4th and long on the last drive where he was running to his weak side and chucked up a perfect 40 yard completion against his body. The second was the 4th and 5 against the Pats that saved our season, where the play was a screen to Clay. There was a defensive player right in the way of the pass so he pump faked and threw it behind Clay, who made a great play to get the 1st down. The play mentioned earlier with the pump fake from last week reminded me of that

I think it's the best touchdown he's thrown and up there with the best plays. The one I go back to was the scramble/bomb against Baltimore on like 4th and 15 last year. It was a do or die situation the end of the game and we were down by three. Tannehill got early pressure on the play, escaped to to his left and fired a pass to Gibson about 40 yards downfield just over the outstretched arms of a defender. Sturgis missed the ensuing kick so we lost the game but that whole play was an unbelievable effort, from the escape down to the pinpoint throw.

This was a different kind of a thing. Something we don't see nearly enough. Tannehill actually does the presnap phase of the game pretty well but post snap he locks onto the receiver way too often. That's not always a fatal flaw, but you need to be unbelievable in the presnap phase to get away with it (the way Brady is). Tannehill isn't there yet, so it's great to see snaps of him doing the post snap phase better. One or the other has to get better consistently. Hopefully both. :D

Tannehill looked like an improved qb last week. He just needs to do it consistently.

But yeah, he dropped a dime to wallace on that play. Was very poised also while we waited for the play to develop.

I also noticed he threw a nice side arm pass to lamar miller, adjusted his throw because of a defender that was in his face.

I never saw him do that before.
