Tannehill: This team can make the playoffs, run to Super Bowl

Interesting how he talks about Landry being a weapon already, but fails to mention Mathews or Gibson. Great compliment to Landry as a rookie who is becoming impossible to ignore. Excited to see him play in live action.

well Landry deserves to play above both of those guys on the depth chart honestly. Gibson was pretty dang good though, I have to see if he's healthy this atlanta game will be telling in relation to how healthy he actually is. might be a good PUP candidate if he needs extra time. come in at week 7 strong

Tanny is the real deal and this year he proves it to the nation.

And why is that? Because of a good camp? If your play in camp is super important, legedu Naanee would still be our starter. Let's let the kid get a few actual games in before we start naming the kid who hasn't even played an actual game yet a star. (I know you didn't say that, but I've seen it said)

Right now, out of the receivers, Tannehill has shown the most chemistry in actual games with Hartline and Gibson, why take that away from him? I say if Landry is really good enough to unseat Gibson, show it in pre-season games. If Landry and Gibson are pretty even, I see no reason to rush Landry into the game over Gibson, Landry has all the time in the world to build chemistry with Tannehill. Right now Tannehill has in game chemistry with Gibson, and barring an amazing pre-season from Landry, I say let Landry develop under the vets.

Nothing really surprising here, he shows good character, hard not to like that. There IS a lot of talent on this team. I hope this is the year we put it together.
What is unusual is that he came out and said it. If he was struggling to learn and apply the new Offense system, he would be more careful. However, he said it because I think that his confidence has gone up a notch and he really believes it.

The thing is he doesn't guarentee anything like rex or any big mouth does. He said it will be determined whether we can or not but we have the capability. Nothing wrong with that and being the opportunist I am I agree we have the talent to

oh so this is ok but when jets players talk it's not. Got it.

Talk is talk, it doesn't win or lose games. there are so many reporters asking so many questions that guys say dumb things sometimes but Ryan and Miami have a chance to do it on the field just as our guys do. we'll see what happens.

I love Tannehill's attitude. When talking about talent and success it is "we". When talking about taking responsibility and being accountable, it is "me".

As Lazor noted, he was sacked 58 times and didn't flinch. I'll add to that, he never blamed anyone for the problems.

Didn't he blame the OC?

RT had an excellent chance to lead this team to the playoffs last yr and failed......two games left and all he needed to do was win one, he had one at home and one on the road against two teams under 500 and he played poorly....hopefully he learned something from it and is a better QB by going through it....I will wait to see the results on the field...time to lead on the field with play and not with words.....

Glad guys are finally sounding confident. If you put in all this work to be good and you don't feel good about what you're doing that's a freaking problem. I'm looking for a playoff run too, we beat multiple teams who were in the playoffs last year and we're better this year, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That's all fine and dandy and hopefully he's right however I just don't see a scenario where we are at or above .500 after our bye given the schedule

Seems we came out of the gate last season with 3 straight wins against good to very good teams. Why can't we do the same or better this year?
