Tannehill: This team can make the playoffs, run to Super Bowl

(I love Tannehill's attitude. When talking about talent and success it is "I". When talking about taking responsibility and being accountable, it is "WE".)

Fixed
That wasn't even my post but the way you fixed it, it pretty much sounds like Wallace...

Yea I know it wasn't yours but my reply was based on that post....and yes you're right it does sound like Wallace lol

Everybody is clearly excited about this new offense and if you need evidence of that look no further than reporters asking Philbin if he's going to unveil it during preseason games or keep it secret until week 1. Joe Rose asked Sims if there was one player that you can just see is going to have a big year and his answer was Tannehill, he said he's gonna have a big year with his arm and his legs.

Beat the Patriots week 1 and we could easily be looking at 7-1 by the halfway point, maybe even 8-0. The schedule gets a lot harder the second half of the season but if we can get to 7-1 then you can start looking ahead to a first round bye, which is our surest way to the SB.

I'd be thrilled if the phins were 2-2 (1-1 in division) heading into their bye.

Good stuff to hear. Thanks.

As to the Jets talk, I say it has both helped and hurt them. They talk bigger and much of the time they have somewhat backed up their talk with good play despite rarely playing as well as the brash talk. But, they have put more of a challenge to New England than Miami or Buffalo since Rex arrived.

Now, when hints go badly for them ... the harsh NY media resort to the clown car references, and the talk backfires.

But, all in all the attitude that the brash talk brings has helped the Jets more than it has hurt them.

And, it's always entertaining to read guys like Genoa (Around-the-World Buttfumble 2.0) proclaim hat he expects to be a top 5 QB soon. That's just comedic gold for the fans.

But, Rex has instilled an attitude of confidence that as helped the Jets. That much seems clear.

As Lazor noted, he was sacked 58 times and didn't flinch. I'll add to that, he never blamed anyone for the problems.

...And I will go even further, the whole off-season he has been taken the responsibility of all failures of the Tannehill-Wallace combination deep, by blaming himself every time he was asked (Shows true leadership)...Hoping Wallace will do the same with his comment yesterday where he indirectly blamed Tannehill for the missed chances deep and said that hopefully Lazor would keep an eye on him and help him throw better deep by the time he got back.

well Landry deserves to play above both of those guys on the depth chart honestly. Gibson was pretty dang good though, I have to see if he's healthy this atlanta game will be telling in relation to how healthy he actually is. might be a good PUP candidate if he needs extra time. come in at week 7 strong

I agree, but it's not going to happen just because he looked good in camp, don't worry, coaches are watching, and your going to start noticing more and more opportunities for him, if he continues to out play all the other receivers.

Did we really expect him to say "I think we will be between bad to mediocre like the last decade"?

oh so this is ok but when jets players talk it's not. Got it.

Talk is talk, it doesn't win or lose games. there are so many reporters asking so many questions that guys say dumb things sometimes but Ryan and Miami have a chance to do it on the field just as our guys do. we'll see what happens.
He didn't guarentee anything he said we have talent to win but also said it remains to be seen if we will. He never said we will make the playoffs just that we can. Rex goes into guarentees. Your CB said hes the best in the league your QB said hes top 10. Tannehill didn't say anything like that

you should go and actually read what our guys said. It's funny how if our guys say anything they are loudmouths but your guys say things and you praise them. It's typical of most fans so this isn't a knock against you.
