Tannehill: This team can make the playoffs, run to Super Bowl

you should go and actually read what our guys said. It's funny how if our guys say anything they are loudmouths but your guys say things and you praise them. It's typical of most fans so this isn't a knock against you.

There is a huge difference from a starting QB saying his team has a shot at the playoffs and making a Super Bowl run than a a 2nd year CB (who is not that good) claiming he is the best CB in the NFL and a loudmouth LB claiming the Jets have the "best defense in the NFL".

Both examples are a direct reflection of the HC.

Milliner said hes the best I will not say anybody is better then me. Im the best at my position. Geno actually said he will prove he is a top 5 QB this year am I right?

To me there is a clear difference between saying I am the best or we will win the super bowl and saying we have enough talent to make the playoffs. One is a prediction. One isn't.

Don't get me wrong I actually love confidence and trash talking. I absolutely loved muhammad ali. But in a team sport it doesn't make as much sense. You put more pressure on your teammates

go read the actual quotes, that is all I can say.

I want our team to be a reflection of our HC who is one of the best in the league but go read the quotes.

I beg you to go read the actual quotes in context.

.

Everybody has read the quotes.

There is no team in the NFL that talks more and accomplished so little than the Jets.

You ever hear that kind of trash talk coming from winning teams like the Seahawks, 49ers, Broncos or the Patriots?

Win something, even a division title, and no one would care what the Jets say.

Oh ****, here comes a line about BACK TO BACK AFC Championship Game appearances!

I wish I could bet money on thread length futures... Shoot I`d be on here all day trying to spot JUNCs posts and bet the farm on those threads...

I know milliner was asked if he was the best corner but he still said he was the best. He could have said no comment or be humble. I am pretty sure grimes would have been humble. And btw grimes was the 2nd best corner last year according to pff. Millinier wasnt in the conversation

Didn't he blame the OC?

RT had an excellent chance to lead this team to the playoffs last yr and failed......two games left and all he needed to do was win one, he had one at home and one on the road against two teams under 500 and he played poorly....hopefully he learned something from it and is a better QB by going through it....I will wait to see the results on the field...time to lead on the field with play and not with words.....

The Tannehater shtick is way past old. Move on.

...And I will go even further, the whole off-season he has been taken the responsibility of all failures of the Tannehill-Wallace combination deep, by blaming himself every time he was asked (Shows true leadership)...Hoping Wallace will do the same with his comment yesterday where he indirectly blamed Tannehill for the missed chances deep and said that hopefully Lazor would keep an eye on him and help him throw better deep by the time he got back.

Agree with you on Wallace. Guy just rubs me the wrong way. I hope he has a great season.

I don't believe Gibson is a comparable player to Landry. Not taking about potential, but today, and I don't see Gibson on Landry's tier. I do think Gibson is good, very solid. I think Landry is already very good and will likely lead Miami in TD receptions in 2014.

I've said he's gonna lead them in everything. He's gonna be a great one.

The quarterback has to believe that but I don't see how it makes sense from a talent standpoint. Our roster only looks good if you are a Dolphin fan and therefore prone to exaggerating the level of virtually every player. Meanwhile, look at let's say our last 10 first round picks. That's where your stars should be located, the top of the league types. Too many misses or moderates. I like big picture common sense not flowery adjustment.
