Tannehill upset with the way he has played

Year one, he had no weapons, year two he got Gibson and Wallace, then it was the o-line. Year three, he has weapons, has a good o-line and he still throws over, under, to the left, right, etc. and cannot hit Wallace deep.
What's the excuse going to be this year? He isn't accustomed to the new scheme? Too many excuses, and waaay too many "I'm gonna go out there everyday and work hard" quotes.

He won't need one.

Maybe I'm losing passion as a fan as I'm getting older but I'm just getting tired of fans talking about these guys as if they owe us something. He's a Miami Dolphin. He's our guy. I imagine he's doing what he can to develop. But sometimes people talk as if he's half-assing it as if we know. I'm going to get ripped and told to get off my soapbox. So as long as I'm on it... it's a game. If he does well, great. If not, then we'll need to find someone else. Posts in this thread aren't so volatile, but there's plenty of line-crossing. You'd think Tannehill pissed in these fans' morning coffee with how personal it can get. K, I'm done.

Well said!!

Where was that good o-line last week? I think the missed the plane to NY. Hopefully they show up this weekend.

Now that he has taken accountability for his play, there cannot be any more excuses going forward.
I am sure he reads the forums.
He knows that the fan base is becoming divided and eventually will be biased against him if this play continues.
Against weaker teams I am sure he will do better, but when we play the better teams, or division opponents Buffalo or NYJ, he plays poorly.
He has decent looking wife and millions, he might have lost his competitive edge. He better get it back, and play better than ever, or he will be done here in Miami.
He's never NOT been accountable for his play. I've never heard Tannehill place blame on anyone but himself and that includes last years putrid offensive line when he had every right to call them out for being turnstiles.

He does not read these forums and I would say not one of the players or coaches read these forums. Not only do the coaches not have time for venturing out to fan forums since they work 15+ plus hours a day but the players, when not working out, practicing or breaking down tape of upcoming opponents have families and kids to spend time with.

I don't think he cares about the fans being divided...they've been divided since the day he was drafted...or do you not remember the fools that wanted to trade up to get RGIII? Or the "suck for Luck" signs in Dolphin Stadium? He can't control what the fans think. Even if he turns it around and starts lighting it up there will be people who hate on him because every fan base has idiots who want to hate on their own players.

Tannehill has beat the Jets, he's beat NE twice now....Buffalo has his number and the sad thing is that last week he threw for the most yards against Buffalo than he ever has so for in his career...but that's not all on Tannehill either. The defense did well in the red zone but they sure as heck didn't do much in between the 20s. They also let Sammy Watkins run free all over the field. Did we even have a sack against Manuel? They didn't cause any turnovers either. Special teams was atrocious and we had about 4 or 5 drops in that game as well which doesn't help anybody but Buffalo. Tannehill is getting a lot of blame and rightfully so, he played bad, but so did everyone else. He's not alone in his failure against Buffalo.

I love when people who don't play professional sports say that a player has lost his competitive edge...lol. Like they were competitive their entire lives, so much so that they worked their butts off to get to the professional level and then all of a sudden it disappears and they're no longer competitive. Ridiculous. I played sports all through high school and in college. I wasn't good enough to play pro but man would I have loved it...regardless I'm absurdly competitive...so much so that when I played basketball with my kids I wouldn't even let them score...if they were going to score they were going to have to earn it. I play scrabble and I won't leave the table until I've used every letter and won...lol...it upsets my wife...lol. You don't lose your competitiveness...if you do you'll be out of the league sooner than later. I also listened to Tannehill's press conference after practice this morning and that didn't sound like a man who wasn't competitive...he sounded ticked off at himself...he sounded fired up to me.

Actually, Dovahkiin is John Denney.

*Shhh... Don't tell anyone.

I'm glad he is stepping up and taking resposibility. Not throwing his WR's or TE's under the bus, or the coaches.

He knows this is a big year for him and this team.

If he likes money, and lots of it, he needs to step it up.

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: 'I haven't been at my best'

The problem is, I think we have seen Tannehill's best. In 3yrs, there is no improvement in pocket awareness, no improvement in his deep ball, and no improvement in ball placement. I do not think it gets any better.

The Miami Dolphins are still waiting for Ryan Tannehill to start looking like a franchise quarterback worthy of Dan Marino's throne. Tannehill understands his performance must improve.
"I just haven't been putting the ball in the right spot," Tannehill said Wednesday, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "I haven't been at my best and it's got to change, and it's got to change fast."
Tannehill has struggled in Miami's first two games. The third-year quarterback has completed 49 of 81 passes (60.5 percent) for 419 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He is ranked 29th in passer rating (76.1) and 28th in completion percentage.
That's not going to cut it, especially coming off a disappointing finish to last year's 8-8 season.
"It's not discouraging, it's frustrating," Tannehill said. "I'm upset at myself the way I've played, so obviously I want to get it corrected. But we've got a long season ahead of us and it starts with this week. You flip it around in one week and you play well and then you start stringing good games together."
What makes the situation especially frustrating is how good Tannehill looked in Bill Lazor's new offense during the preseason. Tannehill blames poor footwork on recent issues with accuracy. The quarterback has regularly missed open receivers and continues to find little success on his deep-ball connection with Mike Wallace.
"I feel good," Tannehill said. "I want it to change. I'm not sitting here happy with how I'm playing, but I go out and I think I play confidently, I step in the huddle with confidence. That's the job of a quarterback, to go out there and be confident with the communication of the play, in the huddle and with my play.

Tannehill is very well coached on what to say to the press. He says all of the right things and there's nothing wrong with that, but at some point the coaches, teammates, and fans will expect Moore.

If only his pocket awareness was as good as his self-awareness.

Why on earth is the media asking him whether his wife has heard the criticism? That doesn't strike me as very professional.

These days the husband and wife are a franchise I am guessing. Tannchise. That is they most marriages operate.
She probably reads some of the threads from a public relations standpoint. As long as he is the starting QB, they are cashing in.
It was probably decided that he needed to answer the critics of his mediocre play publicly. Knowing that we are playing weaker teams the next 2 weeks sets up for him to have above average games.
If we are winning the fans will be happy and the critics will be silenced.
I have been critical of RT since the start of the season. Sure, I am happy we beat the Pats, but it was Moreno's running that won the game IMHO.
RT as made routine plays and moved the chains unless the other team made a great play or we shot ourselves in the foot.
I am not seeing a more polished and effective QB though. I had higher expectations for RT. I guess I was wrong about him.
His passing has not improved and his pocket presence has not either. Now I am noticing that he locks on to guys and throws the wrong type of ball in given situations.
If his wife or someone else close to him is reading these threads, they must know what the fans are not pleased.

Say what you want. Its my opinion and my post. I can say what I want as long it doesn't hurt anyone. I don't like how RT is playing. I don't care what he says because it has no effect on his play. That is all my post ment. Sorry you disagree. And I am sorry I am getting so much negativity for my OPINION.
