I want to see Y/A improve next season. All the talk about RT17 protecting the football better is nice, but if he improves Y/A then he's likely to improve in total yards and TDs. You also have to consider how that will impact the rest of his game. While Tannehill is likely to continue to make some blunders, he may make fewer of them as a result of being in more first down scenarios. Teams are also likely to cut back the rush when Y/A is higher. Higher Y/A is not a silver bullet, but it certainly is a measure of QB success.
Right now, RT17's Y/A+ is pretty close to average if not a tad below.
