PFT reporting that he has a chance to win job over Moore and Garrard. I thought we weren't going to rush him?
 
Take it with a grain of salt... It's PFT reporting..... But if Tannehill is the most impressive in camp... I don't see why not...

They also said that Manning and Flynn would sign with Miami...
 
Wouldn't mind if he starts from day 1.. tbh if we start moore for this season he will not make us contenders anyways. Tannehill should use this year to learn the game and gain experience
 
Please, only if his heads and heels better than the other QBs.
 
Marshallaw makes sense. If Moore beats out garrard, he deserves to start the season. Tannahill needs a little time. He will be in there soon enough.
 
Let's see how he does in OTAs and training camp. I will say that I like what I'm seeing from him already in terms of intangibles, which was my big question mark. He can certainly be a leader of rookies, but let's see how he fares with the vets.
 
Having a open competition doesn't mean he will win it . Just because he understands the playbook doesn't mean he can deal with all the complex NFL defenses.
 
If they worked him in sort of how Tampa Bay did with Freeman (who played in 10 games his rookie year and started nine) that would probably be the best thing. I would probably even scale back from that, hoping to see Tannehill play here and there and start like the final four games of the season.

I would not prefer him starting day 1. But I also don't think he should sit the entire year. You want some substantive film for him to look at next offseason.
 
first of all the ideal thing would be for him to sit and learn but if he comes out and loks better than moore and garrard i say play him play the guy that gives you the best chance to win who ever that may be if its garrad then garrad.in this case if t-hill comes out looking really good and tearing it up play the young guy usally when you take a guy top ten you want him playing right away but this situation is diffrent but hey if he looks the best of the 3 play him!!!:up:
 
He's gonna take his knocks his first season starting whether it be this year or next year. I say if he's ready then let him play this year and get a feel for the speed of the game and then we can up the expectations next year. Manning struggled year 1 and improved greatly in year 2. If the kid is ready then why not get his rookie year out of the way? I think we should start Tannehill from the get go if he is ready!

i really like our new coach. Thank god sparano is gone, i dont care how well tannenhill performed under sparano, he would not see the field for 2 years.
