If you changed nothing about the team and had Tannehill healthy all season, how many more wins do you think we would have?

I think 9-7 with another quick exit from the playoffs, but unfortunately we will never know.

Are you using his career numbers as a base or his performance for half a season last year?

Tannehill has always been a 20 - 25 TD guy, last season included. Cutler now stands at 19 with one game to go and having missed a game and a half.
Not much difference. Maybe NFL.com should have a "What if" category in their stats.

Hard to tell. I'm pretty sure we'd have won at least two more games but this team has many problem with it's foundation, pay structure and on and on. It all starts at the top

Ozzy rules!!

We have what 2 or 3 rushing TD’s with Cutler. I’m sure we would have atleast 8 to 10 with Tannehill. And the way he was playing the last part of the season last year. Once the OL and the rest of the team learned the offense. He was playing his best Football. So it isn’t out of the possibility the he could of had a 30+ TD season. And comparing Cutlers scatter shot arm to Tannehill’s at this time is laughable.

I think it's reasonable to project wins against Raiders and Bills at a minimum. That's 'in the hunt with one game left. And that's WITH JT, Bushrod, and Larsen

As I look back at the schedule, and how it went, if Tannehill had been present, I believe Miami wins 5 game, with a possible 6th win if things went right.

1. The Jets game in the Meadowland was very close in the 2nd half, have Tannehill playing Miami probably scores a few time early pulling the momentum to their side, and considering how much better a 2nd half team Miami was...this is a win.

2-5 The Raiders, Bucs, Bills, Chiefs game were somewhat similar, low, and slow scoring by opponant, with Miami having little to respond with on offense. Tannehill is there, Miami is either very close, or ahead of all those teams, giving Miami time at halftime to adjust in all those games, where as I said, Miami does very well.

6. Though a bit doubtful, the Saints did show very little in the 1st half, with Tannehill might have kept the Dolphins close enough where Miami could have actually beat Brees away.

So in my opinion that would mean 5 games I believe Miami could have won, and a 6th where there was also a possibility if Tannehill was on.

This would Mean Miami right now would be headed into the week 17 either tied with the Pats, or one game behind them...with more importantly a possible bye in the playoffs, and finally taking the crown from the Pats in the east.

I agree with this. While it may be unrealistic to say we win all of those, i think It’s fair to say we win at least 3-4 more games

Definitely a couple more. So many drives would have been extended with him at the helm from his mobility, ball placement (YAC), aside from overall play making.

He was doing really well last year.

I say 2-3 minimum. No way to tell. We would definitely be a playoff caliber team.

We will see how he looks next year. Could be better, worse, or the same! Considering how involved he has been, I wouldnt be shocked if we was even better. Maybe a slow start.

He will be a more matured game manager, and seasoned vet. Could be a good thing for him.

I hate this kind of discussion because you really are never going to know. The #QBWinz people should think that he's worth 3 to 4 wins over Cutler/Moore based on results, right?

But it aint' that simple.

I would say that with better quarterback play -- Ryan Tannehill level quarterback play, for instance -- this team absolutely would have beat the Bucs. I think wins against the Raiders and Bills would also have been likely if we'd just been able to hit the wide open plays. 2-3 wins. Anything past that, it's just speculation.

Looking forward to 2018 with better quarterback and hopefully linebacker play. Not so hopeful about this team ever addressing the TE position, though.

Jets and Saints games would’ve been a little more competitive with Tannehill. I’m not guaranteeing anything but Miami was completely flat in those games. The Tampa Bay game might’ve been different too.
