Statistically, RT is one of the most effective play action passers.
I am by no means a QB guru, but i know what my eyes tell me when i watch the games, and they tell me that Ryan is not a strictly pocket passer. I think he'd be much more effective using his athleticism. PA passing, designed or non designed rollouts, bootlegs, any plays that take advantage of his skills. I think i get what Philbin wants out of Ryan, and that's to learn to manipulate the pocket and trust his protection, but as we've seen, that protection has been non existent. But in order to run an offense that i feel is better suited to RT's strengths, we've gotta change the OL. Pouncey's the only one we have who i feel we can keep, the rest have to go. Just my 2 cents worth. Feel free to correct or critique anything i just said.

Play action is a skill that can be learned, and Schaub had several years behind Vick to learn it. Schaub does throw a nice deep ball, it doesn't hurt to throw to Andre Johnson.
