Tannehill's 3rd TD called back due to Sims penalty

what would it have proved by throwing a TD in garbage time other than to inflate #s and allow people that don't really watch the game closely to think he was better than he was? you won the game, he played well so who cares about a garbage time TD called back?

Go Jets

I think you need to worry about trying to see the Jets play garbage time in victory and not in defeats :)

if you watch football, then you know a win like yesterday was a dominating win. from all facits of the game. It's the type of game, numbers aside that give you a bit of hope that Tannehill from the last 8 quarters before this game can be redeemed, dusted off and motivated to play at a playoff level. Now... he has to keep doing it.

I was pissed off when it was called back pretty much because it was the prettiest screen the Dolphins have run in recent memory. Also irritated that it ultimately ended up in an interception. However, I'll happily take the blowout.

On many of those WR screens that were pretty effective the formation included trips bunched with the intended receiver on the inside off the LOS and the 2 TEs lining up at the other bunched spots. I'm hoping Lazor has some sort of audible for when teams start to recognize this grouping, as it'll probably be a focal point in defensive game plans from now on.

if I was a Jets fan I wouldn't be talking about garbage and QB's

How about Tannehill sliding up the pocket and making a nice throw earlier in the game? I think I can count on one hand how many times he's down that climb the pocket, like Rivers, and make a nice throw. Seemed like his footwork was much better this game. Two weeks to work on it more and make it even more second nature, then take on a very tough 12 games to make a playoff push. If we can be as good as we all hope tough schedules are exactly what you want, win and you are as good as you want to be.

I think the main reason he doesn't do that much is that he rarely has a pocket to climb to. His pockets are typically small, even this year, when they've been the largest ever.

rarely fricking called unless its against the Dolphins. Watched the Cowboys get away with that and it was 10 times worse. oh well, could of easily been 41, except that our coach has class!

Some of us will care when we have to read about how Tannehill isn't a franchise QB because he hasn't scored over 40 in a game. Just like we already hear that he still can't hit the deep pass.
Actually no one will care. The TD did not count.

People would just use the "It's the Raiders" excuse.

His goal should be to get at least 2 passing TD's a game. From there he can build up further. I'm tired of the 1 TD, all FG's performances.

Great learning experience for everyone.

Sims learns

Lazor learns Daniel Thomas is a multiple use RB with success.
