I've been back and forth on my opinion of Tannehill. At this point in his career (assuming he's healthy and can be the QB he was becoming until getting hurt in 2016), I'd say he's pretty good - maybe a couple notches below Andy Dalton, who has really improved his game IMO. So I wanted to share with you what I believe is Ryan's best throw as a pro. It was against the Chargers in 2016. He had both the sun and an oncoming rusher in his face, yet he threw a beautiful pass and dropped it right into Kenny Stills' hands for a TD. An absolutely amazing throw that couldn't have been placed any better.

Thoughts? Maybe you have a throw of his you like better?

I think of that exact play when I think of what RT could be capable of. Ive watched the replay of it hundreds of times. I hope we see more moments like that in 2018.

His best play as a dolphin was this 4th down pass to Brandon Gibson - http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fanta...l-to-WR-Gibson-46-yd-pass-4th-down-conversion

i ****ing loved that play

Add the similar play against the Steelers in 2016. I can't understand how people don't see the elite arm talent. The pass to Gibson was on the run to the left with touch. Just can't be taught.

The play is also an prime example of the pass protection issues of that time. Most important play of the game and Martin gets put on his BACK and Lamar Miller MISSES the chip block. Jesus Christ they sucked at pass protection. They had SEVEN blockers and Tannehill is still pressured by a 4 man front in less than two seconds. 3 receivers against 7 defenders. People have the nerve to ask why Tannehill wasn't consistently producing. WTF......

For those wondering, that's Jonathan Martin on his back EIGHT YARDS up field from the LOS. That's also the right tackle and TE getting pushed back 7 yards while double teaming the left end and the left guard whiffing on a block. ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Pocket presence..... LMFAO.

I’d have to agree on best throw being the stills TD pass vs chargers

The guy has the talent to be great. If the Oline can be average to above average, and RT plays 16 games, we will know by the end of this season if we are set at QB. Otherwise the fins will be looking to draft his replacement in 2019 draft.

What I’d like to see from him this season is more consistency in trying to push the ball down the field (chunk yardage) and less playing it safe on third in long. He does not have the luxury of a dominant defense, needs to keep drives alive and score TDs. This defense will get eaten alive if we are playing from behind in most games. I see the fins as a 10-6 or 7-9 team, 10-6 if the offense does what it is capable of doing, 7-9 if it is same old same old.

On a side note, I put wagers on the over for season wins and for Miami to finish 2nd in the division...I’m conditioned to expect mediocrity in other words

His best pass IMO was in 16 at the end of the first Pats game.... It was incomplete in the endzone bc...well....poor lil boy PARKER was tired and didnt even attempt a play on a perfect ball. Thats a catch any #1 WR makes for his QB and would have given 17 one more comeback in arguably one of if not the best half of football in his career!

Have to agree, an absolute lack of effort... did not even try.

There was a throw about 3 or so years ago where he threaded the needle between the 3 zone drop out defenders 22 yards downfield with a guard in his lead leg he had no business being able to execute on.

It was his best throw I’ve seen.

One of my favorites. I had to stop watching that video when Matt Moore came in. Would have really like Tannehill to play the playoff game...
