Tannehill's long run was awesome

What was amazing was how the Steelers still didn't respect him in the run on other potential option plays.

Actually their covering Tannehill on the read-option was a big part of what let Thomas waltz into the end zone later in the game.

you don't have some complex meaningless stat for this?

He is right though. I would like to see Tannehill do this more. We don't need to run an option offense, but once in a while can't hurt.

When needed. T-hill's progression as a QB has been quite impressive and we don't need to turn him into Crapernick. But Ryan's running ability is a great trait for him to have at the right moments.

Longest run for a Dolphins QB in their history

Wow, that's remarkable.

That's precisely it. He needs to be coached into when that moment presents. It's a huge weapon for QBs who understand that moment and use it judiciously.

Well Marino was our qb for over a quarter of our franchises history and his long was maybe 10 yards.

Like to see him run when he has open field. I also want to see him slide and run out of bounds and above all i don't want to see him take unnecessary punishment ala RGIII.

Did you notice how he was basically run step for step ahead of that DB for 30 yards (maybe the DB gained a foot or two on him), then he slowed down on purpose thinking he was about to get caught. If he stayed full speed ahead he probably would have gotten about 10 yards more, but maybe he was cautious about a dangerous tackle or a strip of the football. Can't really blame him for slowing and just going to the sideline. Live to fight another day.

RT has speed and its awesome to see him run, but I've decided rather only see that 3 or 4 times a game.
