Tape watching and late night musings...

To me, watching them play, Cody is more Jason Taylor and Roth is more Trace Armstrong. They both have a wonderful first step, but Roth is more capable with the bullrush than Cody, and Cody is much faster in general so he can speed around the outside and create all sorts of problems by doing that (getting the LT to overcommit to the outside, then quick cut inside, or just beat him outside period).

Keep in mind that the year they worked together, Armstrong got more sacks than Taylor, and in only part-time duties too. I'm not saying that Roth can't get sacks. They just play different positions, LDE vs. RDE.

The Jason Taylor - Trace Armstrong tandem was deadly. With what little I got to see off Roth I was more surprised with the speed and agility he had than his outright power. If he is able to bullrush tackles in the NFL, I think he will be real productive.

Roth has a lot of power, Saban said it was one of the reasons he drafted him because he showed so much surprising power considering his size (if he was 20 pounds heavier and two inches taller they'd expect it).

I respect your opinion of Parrish. I think you're very close to the mark. However, I do not get the sense from other buffalo fans that this is all they expect of him. They're very optimistic, overly so in my opinion. Just remember, he's much more Jacquez Green than Santana Moss.

Bills needed another WR bout as much as howdy doody needs freckles.

They needed him. The Bills needed a slot guy badly. After Moulds and Evans, we have nothing.

Parrish would surprise me if he ever plays outside. He is an inside WR and thats why we got him. He is a playmaker.

All you have to do is look at Antwaan Randle El. Mularkey will plan on using him like that. 2nd round pick who is a slot guy that makes big plays. He was also a great punt returner. I expect Mularkey to try and get the production Antwaan Randle El gave the Steelers when he was there out of Roscoe Parrish.

They need to know every single strength and every single weekness of all 22 players on the field. Nice try though.

obviously you don't know what you're talking about if you are questioning or mocking the all 22 film. it is the standard. in a room full of nfl coaches and scouts you would be making a fool of yourself saying something like this. i don't see why people have to talk just to talk, especially when they don't understand or know what it is they are talking about.

Maybe your problem here is comprehension? Try reading it again Mr. Knowitall!

To see something good, and be able to cast ones opinion is far less than what the coaches have to do! They need to know every single strength and every single weekness of all 22 players on the field. Nice try though.

Let me try a clearer method for you..........

This thread is a fans opinion of some players. Instead of recognizing this, you say nice read but it's not good enough without the readily available all 22 film. :shakeno:

But the one problem is Roscoe Parrish has never been the dynamic playmaker that Antwaan Randall-El is for Pittsburgh, and as a QB in college. Parrish has been uninspiring in Miami, and trust me I've been seeing him for years.
