KFFL reports:

Aug 30 Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports it would not be a surprise to see the Denver Broncos try to trade a running back before the season starts. They still have five players at running back, a very deep position for the team. RBs Mike Bell, Tatum Bell, Ron Dayne, Cedric Cobbs and Damien Nash remain on the roster. The Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins reportedly remain interested in acquiring a running back.

I guess you could throw cobbs on the menu as well but I cant help but wonder what kind of price tag these guys are going to have. Either way it is an interesting possibility that we could acquire one of these guys. Thoughts?

The Broncos have extra RB's and we have extra WR's. I would take Tatum Bell in a deal for maybe Fred Gibson or Kelly Campbell, but not for Welker or Hagan.

I would think they would part with Cobbs before Bell, and certainly Dayne before any of them.

Maybe I should be the backup running back for the Fins. No one seems to want Sammy Morris so I guess I could do it.

Both Tatum and Dayne have been given great opportunities to succeed and take the starting position in Denver. Both were unseated by an undrafted rookie. Now comes cut time and people want to take whatever rb Shanahan thinks can't run behind Denver's much better O-line?

Dayne has been a bust. tatum a big disappointment. Cobbs looks like he will take #3 spot.

Between Dayne and Tatum, can anyone tell me why we would take one of these backs if they cant run in Denvers system? Besides the old reasons we need a backup or he may come at a good price

tatum bell has more value then any of our WR's with exception of booker and chambers. Denver will want a 4th or 5th. Bell has had 2 good years in denver and the only setback with him is isnt a big enought back to carry the full load. He wont come cheap IMO.

IF I had the choice I would choose Tatum Bell in a heartbeat. He's exactly the type of runner I've been hoping we could land. He's incredibly fast and has big play potential. His style is the complete opposite of Ronnie and would provide a nice change of pace. But we would have to give up a lot for him, so its not gonna happen.
