For weeks the Dolphins hoped Nate Garner could return to the lineup.But after missing four games with unresolved migraine-like symptoms, he was finally placed on the non-football injury list before the final game against the Jets. The Dolphins also placed cornerback Jamar Taylor on injured reserve. He missed two games with a dislocated shoulder and then returned to the lineup for two games, but he apparently never fully recovered from the injury.

Taylor just couldn't get healthy. Sounds like Harvin is out also.


The Jets expect Percy Harvin (ribs) to miss Week 17.
Harvin missed Tuesday's practice. Per coach Rex Ryan, Harvin "can't do a whole lot." Missing Sunday's finale would mean Harvin heads into the offseason sporting just a 51/483/1 line as a receiver through 13 2014 games. He's added a 33/202/1 slash as a runner, but it's not exactly production befitting of Harvin's $10.5 million 2015 base salary. With GM John Idzik's job in danger, it's possible his replacement will be inclined to move on from Harvin.

What we've had Sam Brenner all this time and we've been messing around with Dallas Thomas??

Taylor cannot be counted on next year. He should be the 4th corner. If he steps up, so be it.

Garner should have been IR'ed weeks ago.

I do hope he is okay. Sounds like a strange ailment.
 
LB Jake Knott was re-signed to practice squad and OL Michael Brewster was released , per Alain Poupart.

It took a while to decide to actually IR Garner for sure. I believe I read somewhere that he will retire. Finnegan considering it also.
 
i hope garners ok, having head pains for this long could be very serious
 
played with one arm sunday...smart to put taylor down...showed me enough to believe he can be a major contributor down the line...i like the talent...
