"I know what the reaction's going to be: Oh, he's the leader of that team, and he needs to be there," Taylor wrote. "But, see, there're different types of leadership in sports. There're guys that can talk all the time, and try to lead by saying: 'Oh, this is what we need to do, let's go, rah, rah rah.' They're rah-rah guys. And then they're guys, like me, who lead by example. And people are saying now, 'Your example should be being there working out with the team.' Well, at the end of the day, I will show up and I will do anything I need to do, and I will be the best football player I can be."
I've been stating since Cameron came on that JT has revealed himself to be a complete sham of a "leader". I was ripped endlessly for it, too.
Personally I think it's a VERY big deal. What message is that sending to other players on the team who will be out there in the heat? They're not going to respect JT, and why should they? There is almost a completely new team on the field, and what message is being sent when all the new players see that JT has more important things than football instead of sweating and bleeding out on the practice fields. They're going to see pretty boy hollywoodhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3404310
