So..what happens next week? JT played on the weak side, where most people think he plays better, and he certainly had his best game this season. Wake had 3 sacks in one game. What do we do with Porter back? Lots of rotation?

Overload with all 3 on the field. Double-up on whichever side they decide to double-team.

Honestly I think there's not enough room for all these guys. Not just the three you mentioned but also Charlie Anderson and Quinton Mosses. I think we should see what kind of trade value Porter still has. I know he still has some production left in him but I really like Anderson and obviously Cam Wake is here to stay.

No way. Our weakness is covering tight ends. We shouldn't weaken ourselves further in that department.

w/e they do i will personally hunt down and abuse the whole staff if wake is ever inactive again i mean throw him in with packages and when other olb are tired wtf would u make him inactive for , so we could have that spot for pat white oh ok then thats cool but ummmm why does he keep handing the ball off when he is inserted lol

I think there's a relatively high probability that we see all three on the field at the same time. If only for two or three plays (passing downs obviously), I think it could be very effective. That's not to say that all three would be blitzing either. JT, who is the most capable of the three, could feign a blitz and drop back into coverage. The most probable scenario is that we see a decent rotation of all three, with Anderson and Moses sprinkled in occasionally.

on passing downs, occassionally we should put Taylor at DE, and have Porter and Wake comin in on the blitz, maybe have Merling instead of Ferguson and we got a good pass rush

That was tongue-in-cheek. ;)

Anyway, they were rotating the line all game (It's hot out there). We can't get rid of Porter. We should just rotate the olbs too.

Am I the only one that already saw yesterday what they'll do when Porter is back? On quite a few plays they had Wake at DE and Anderson or someone else(I wasn't paying attention to them lol) at OLB with JT on the other side. Expect a lot of this on pass downs next Monday. I think we'll probably even see them switching it up with Wake at DE sometimes and JT there other times etc..

No youre not the only one. I was surprised to see Wake at DE but it worked so Im not complaining. Wake is a beast. 3 Sacks and he seemed to motivate Jason Taylor as well. :chuckle:

Depth is key. If Merling is lost for any time, it would be nice to have someone with talent filling in for him. Same goes for the LB/DE group. Absolutely keep them all. Especially considering JT and Porter have some gas left in the tank and you have a young, hungry guy in Wake that is ready to go. He can learn from them too.

Absolutely keep them all one way or another for now.

Last week and this week Anderson and Wake were splitting time. It was basically a competition to see who would play...they might have continued to do so if there was no clear winner...but there was a clear winner.

Wake won the job flat out...he is clearly better than Anderson.
