When Taylor Whitley was drafted, some scouts said he could be a starting Guard for some teams. He's been in the league for 2 years, and has not shown great strides, but still came from a bad system, and is young. If we can trade Brad Bedell to a team like the Packers for a 6th round pick, why can't we trade Taylor Whitley? He has not even been brought to the first team this year, obviously that doesnt mean he's in good standing. Why not trade him, and do you think a team would give up on him this fast?

Definitely something to consider, could be one reason why we have no released him thus far. I say if we can get anything... ANYTHING for Taylor Whitley... whether it's a 7th round pick or a basket of fruit, I say we TAKE IT!! I'm surprised I never really thought about it that much, I guess I just figured Whitley had no trade value but he could have some and for whatever that is, I say we take it and send him packing.

I think Huock likes him because he's a lighter gaurd more suitable for pulling and trap blocking. Plus he's young. Even if he's a whiffer now, maybe Huock can help transform him into a decent Gaurd.

He's gone in a few days. If not, it says more about our offensive line depth than Taylor Whitley. I think he's the most unathletic 3rd round or higher player the Dolphins have ever selected in my 30+ years following the team

My Point is that 2 years ago, some scouts from other teams said Taylor Whitley could start when drafted for some teams and be a good player. He has been in a bad system here. How do you lose all value after two years. If we can get a 6th for Brad Bedell who must of you dont even know, why can't we get anything for him.

You think he's worse than Andrew Greene, our fine 2nd round choice of '95?
Rick Graf was a pretty unathletic LB who was taken in the 2nd round back in the Bosa draft.
What really hurts on the Whitley pick was who we left on the board at the time. As I recall, Dave Ragone was still available when we took Whitley, and if we just had to have a guard at that point, Montrae Holland was still on the board.
