With MacIntosch starting at LT sitting down Wade Smith do the best five players available on the o-line still include Whitley? Would Wade Smith be better at right guard than Whitley? Would anybody else be better. He hasn't impressed me with his play at all. I'm not even sure that Seth is an upgrade over Ruddy but I guess we'll live with that. Coach Wise is doing a really poor job. His unit is the worst in the N.F.L., you can't go down from there, can you? This team is not well prepared when they take the field, hence the flags, the turnovers the missed assignments. We look like a poorly coached team on the offensive side. Is Wise overated? What in the world is going on? We just actually lost to the Bengals!!! The wheels have come off, we better do something about it fast. This is getting very hard to watch.

you can't blame coach wise too much. I mean he can't block people for them!!! The players shouldn't get a free pass because Coach Wise isn't good.

And Wade Smith belongs at UPS, not in the NFL. He shouldn't be on the field period.

Where the hell do people think you can just pull a guy from one OL spot and plug him in at another the following week? Come on people, think a little. It's like saying a QB should be able to play WR the next week because "he knows the plays"

You know what's funny, I moved him to RG on madden05.... He worked out fine on the game, but im not sure about real life... Just thought I would share lol.

Actually depends on the player, a lot of QB's have success moving to WR. :D

And to keep on topic, Smith MIGHT do good at guard.. he has quick feet, good for pulling, etc, etc... He's bulked up a bit too.

Now don't miss read my post... I'm NOT saying he will or should be moved there... I'm sure they will swing him around.

Honestly,I like Whitley,I didnt see him get beat as much as our left side did in the Cinci game. I think he did a good job,now I might be wrong, and yeah I also moved him to my RG in Madden 05...lol.

Come on, now you're just being ridiculous. Yeah ok, the difference between switching a LT to RG is EXACTLY like switching a QB to WR... :D Either you're really THAT clueless, or the constant sarcasm in your posts is starting to make you sound like a blubbering baby...

Smtih can't run block well enough to be a guard. He's just not dominant enough at the point of attack. You'll probably see Hadnot at RG before long.

The OL will get better. How can it not? The problem is not the blocking, its the not knowing who to block. Too many times Bengals players came in untouched.

As for Smith. He will make it back. The guy needed to be benched. He had the job basically given to him last year and did decent, but this year it looks like he believes its his no matter what.

I can blame Wise all day long. Some people are are good teachers but not motivators... I think good coaches need to be both. To me he and Wanny are both good teachers but TERRIBLE motivators.

Wise has to get lots of blame since our OL is miserable and c/not run ag a team that lets Curtis Martin run for nearly 200 ag as well as getting incredible pressure on AJ. There is something huge wrong.

to the topic, the only one replacing Whitley w/b Vernon

no, it's the constant retardation in people's posts that believe if you can think it, it must be possible to occur.

We all saw what happened when we moved Dixon to LT, or Carey to RG..it wasn't an immediate increase in ability or solidifying of the position. What makes people think our worst OL Wade Smith can move not only to G, but to the opposite side of the line, and be worh a damn?? Just moving from LT to RT would be a learning curve.
