Andy Kent has the TC notes for this morning session on MiamiDolphins.com "nce again the defense looked to be ahead of the offense in the morning, which is to be expected when a new system is being implemented. Cornerback Travis Daniels picked off a Trent Green pass intended for Chris Chambers, and Jason Allen did the same to Cleo Lemon on a deep out, stepping in front of Chambers at the last second ... Both Chambers and veteran Marty Booker did their best trying to pull in passes close to the sideline thrown by Lemon but were ruled out of bounds on both ... Az-Zahir Hakim almost made an acrobatic grab over Michael Lehan similar to the one Booker made Sunday inside the practice bubble but he couldn't hold on."

Of course, this is the team website, so things may sound a little rosier than they really are, LOL.

Here are the Sun-Sentinel notes "Defensive end Jason Taylor looked like he jumped offside. Taylor initially pointed to tackle Vernon Carey as if he jumped, but it was pretty clearly Taylor jumped."

JT doesn't even want to loose in practice.

Not necessarily a meaty article in terms of info, but its good to hear some updates. I'm glad Daniels appears to be having a healthy and productive camp. I worry about our secondary so I'm glad to hear guys are making plays.

Also, I wonder when Cam plans to get our starting unit on the line working together. A week, 2 , etc... It always seems like our line struggles early in the season and I hope they get enough reps together in camp. Of course, Cam and HH know how to do this way better than I do, but I've just been trained to think that reps are really important on the o-line. We've thrown away seasons b/c our o-line couldnt block in the first half of the year.

I know it's early, but the QBs (esp. Trent) do not seem to be impressing as of yet. We hear of the WRs making spectacular catches, but not much about good passing. I know that timing will remain an issue for a little while, but I would like to see that come together sooner than later. I especially thought Trent would be on key, but from what I am reading, he is throwing the most interceptions. I know it's early, but I hope they can get everything down sooner......

this isnt brain surgeory. the offense is always behind in the first couple of weeks and they were half speed the first day. This defense is going to bring everything at these guys and its all new to the offense so why wouldnt anyone expect this to be happening?

Throw in the heat and weardown effect and you have the makings for bad days. I will be looking for the offense to be better in a few weeks come preseason games.

Does anyone have info on OT Julius Wilson. I was at the afternoon practice on Saturday and he stood out to me. I saw an article on the Dolphins website where Lo Booker was bragging about him too.

Yeah, I totally forgot about offenses being behind in the beginning of the year. With so much happening this offseason, I totally forgot that offenses do not hit stride until close to the beginning of the season.

But the heat affects everyone, and today's Cashman TC thread, he says that the offense looked sluggish as opposed to the defense. I knew it would take time for the offense to get in-sync, but to look sluggish (when the D is in the same weather) is not very encouraging. I'm sure it will take time, but I hope they come together very soon.

With Miami's D being as stellar as it is, let's hope this helps the O. One would think that it would have been this way in the past, but it hasn't been this way the last several years. Hope Cam and Co. can turn this ship around.....
