I was wondering if we might be able to target this guy..hes young and has had some great seasons for the Seahawks. They just got Zach Miller so they might be willing to part with this young up and coming TE. I would love to add him to the mix, maybe we can trade some Def players and Fasno for him? Just a thought...

talented kid. but zero word on whether or not they have any plans on moving him

i'm done thinkin these guys will ever decide a high end te upgrade is necessary...they show me they could care less about the position pretty much...while the rest of the league sees it different...figures

We are stacked on D Line, Seahawks have needs. Why not swap Merling for Carlson. Seems pretty fair swap to me.

I'd rather have Carlson than anyone else besides Fasano. They're similar though, Carlson is a better receiver

LOL...I would love that, problem is, I don't know if the Seahawks would be as receptive to that trade idea. Merling 2 years ago might have gotten you a 1 on 1 trade with a good TE.....maybe.

Carlson coming out of ND was considered the top TE of his class, and he has somewhat lived up to it, on the other hand Merling was at best considered the 5th best DE coming out, and he hasn't really lived up to that. Afraid the Seahawks would ask for more the just Merling.

This is ridiculous to want to trade Fasano. We want a "David Martin" for Fasano not run him out of town....

Well, I'm not saying run Fasano out of town, but he's just a journeyman TE. He can't break the seams like a David Martin or other faster TE. This regime seems to value the pass catching TE position pretty low, considering they came from Dallas with Jason Witten...
