LOL...I would love that, problem is, I don't know if the Seahawks would be as receptive to that trade idea. Merling 2 years ago might have gotten you a 1 on 1 trade with a good TE.....maybe.

Carlson coming out of ND was considered the top TE of his class, and he has somewhat lived up to it, on the other hand Merling was at best considered the 5th best DE coming out, and he hasn't really lived up to that. Afraid the Seahawks would ask for more the just Merling.

I was actually thinking of the possibility of Carlson added to the Dolphins. Not sure if it will happen, though.

from what I remember, the big thing was Carlson was seen as the better all around player, but Keller gave more offensive explosion.
