Hmm, I think the Brohm pick should actually be under the Chiefs since the original plan was that I'd get the pick and draft him myself. It's just that I didn't have time to declare the trade in time because of finals (about a half hour late as I recall) and Skeet picked him ahead of time to make sure.

I think we should vote on who had the best draft. You wouldnt be able to vote for your team. I vote Indianapolis

My bad, I just copy and pasted most of it, I'll change it.

hard to choose a winner, several teams had solid drafts... Seattle, NY Giants, Dallas and Miami. Hard not to get swayed by those teams that had multiple high draft choices.

Best way to decide best draft is to figure out what they had to give up to get those players, and how well they really replaced them.

I'm sure giving up Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas may impact me negatively, but if its compared to the real NFL, I happen to get a 1st rounder and Heath Miller for Jason Taylor and that ain't bad.

Also it really cleared cap space. So There's way too many factors to consider, Dallas and the Giants had the benefit of already having a good team but got a lot of good depth. So its all how someone feels like weighing it.

Heath Miller + Branden Albert + their 1 mil cap spaces combined > Jason Taylor + Zach Thomas + their 12-13 mil cap spaces combined

I agree, and gladly accept your nomination.

How about teams that didn't have a whole lot of early picks or that many picks at all but still drafted well? I didn't have a 1st or a 3rd, but I think value-wise I made some nice picks.

And I don't know if you noticed Mr. Marshall Mayock, but in the original Mayock's latest rankings Jerod Mayo is his #1 ILB and he has him going #15 in his latest mock. Maybe the pick wasn't so bad after all.

i dont know why peeps were baggin you on the mayo picked. i liked it, and was upset since that was the guy i wanted hahah. getting him in the mid 2nd is a bigtime pick. he's definitely 1st round material, moreso than felix jones.

For me, I know I plan on rating people draft on value, rather than overall talent. Obviously, some people wanted to stock up on picks while others wanted to unload them completely. Not everyone needed the draft to make their team, they could use it to fill in depth, etc. I know I will be looking at who was taken where and if I consider that a solid value pick or a reach.
