At least traveling 3 times zones going West isn’t as bad as going East (bc 9 am warm ups feel like 6 am to them). Teams going 3 time zones West win an average of 40%, while that number is 35.2 going East.

More teams should do this.

Not sure about this. As a frequent cross country traveler (twice a month) I find the lag from right to left sets in 2 days later, not 1. If I fly out on a Monday Im good to go all day Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday is when the lag sets in.

I used to make semi-frequent trips to Spain (from PA) - the lag was awful going USA to Spain, but I never had much trouble coming back.

It snowed here last night and that system has moved into the Great Plains (no pun intended). So, the flight (depending on route) s/b smooth sailing.

Yeah the left to right lag is way worse because you are gaining hours and not losing them so the lag is instantaneous. If you happen to lose sleeping hours because of it, it is much worse.

McDaniel is right on the leaving early coming from SF to Miami, but I think he's wrong the other way around.
