*edit, stuff below is for the Wk 17 game*

Overall I would have to pick Chad Pennington. Fate dealt him one of the biggest games of his life. The media focusing on his homecoming added extra pressure for him to perform. But he gave it his all, and didn't let emotions get the best of him.

In the end, he wasn't playing against his OLD team, but playing with his NEW team. And now they're all a bunch of champs. Go Fins!

Think he was talking about this season . . . not just this game

OFFENSE
How can you not give it to Chad? Just a model of consistency this season. Never had a truly horrible game and had 8 games with a rating over 100.

Honorable mention: Devon Bess. After Camarillo went down we could've been looking at starting either Wilford or London. Instead an undrafted rookie stepped up and Miami almost never missed a beat. His 5 game stats as a starter carried over a 16 game season: 96 receptions for 893 yards. Plus he did a respectable job returning punts and he's a good blocker for someone his size. Perhaps the biggest steal of the non-draft.

Honorable mention two: Martin/Fasano 64 rec. 904 yards 10 TD's.

Defense
A tough call. I'm tempted to say Jason Ferguson because we seem to be a completely different team when he's not in there. Bell also had a solid season but I wish he was more of a ball hawk. Andre Goodman also surprised after the debacle in Arizona. Matt Roth turned in a surprisingly solid season.

Honorable mention: Joey Porter. His stats really tailed off late in the season but he was probably the only defensive player that the other team game planed for. The attention he received allowed other players to step up.

Special Teams
Dan Carpenter: Any time you turn over a pressure filled position to a rookie you have to hold your breath. You just never know how they will respond when it matters. A very solid season.

Honorable mention: Patrick Cobbs. A spark plug that can contribute in numerous ways.
