Team Needs (Miami Dolphins from Bleacher Report)

I'm really of the mindset that we need to fix the offense.

The D can wait, we need to score points.
I haven't read up much yet on the offensive lineman in the draft. But the strength of the draft is supposed to be defense.

While I definitely agree with you, maybe defense first round and then find the offense through most of the remainder of the process?

Still a long way to go and questions to be answered. But Campbell and Ogbah are short-term solutions. Then you factor in another injury to Phillips and the defense could have some real holes.

Haason Reddick is available currently and would probably help out pass rush…Phillips contract is up after next year I think?

QB and OL

Then everything else is next.

It’s not so complicated. I don't get paid to make football decisions, but if it’s not that obvious to everyone, maybe I should!
I'm going OL for first 2 picks plus some vet FAs but I'm signing a vet FA QB this offseason. 2026 draft is where I'm looking for the QB.

Not saying yours is bad, I just think it's much more important to solidify this libe before putting anyone back there worth a damn...

Tyler Warren from pennstate is the tight end we need. Big versatile and great hands!

Depends on our draft position, but I’d probably go buy 2 young stud offensive lineman for starters overpay if we have to.

Draft 1 at least and grab a qb if we’re that low with the first pick if we’re top 5.

If you want to lose a bunch of games 18 to 6 next year, sure, draft defense.

If you fix the offense we can actually control the LoS, convert third downs, and play catch up if needed.

The defense isnt why we are losing games.
I don’t agree that thats how we should look at building a roster moving forward

Imo it’s about balance so players available dictate that balance,

You don’t pass on Micah parsons to select Waddle because you want to establish an offensive identity.

I think we have overdrafted enough defensive players that we can afford to reach for offensive linemen bro.

Every year, the same song and dance.

overdrafted is a relative term, if there is a need and he’s a good player that worth moves up to the team drafting.

I was in favor of moving up for Fautanu and if not drafting Barton.

So I get it

It will be fascinating. We could bring in a vet or a reclamation project with potential (Z. Wilson) and use this draft to build the trenches. Then draft QB in 2026. Manning!

Agree. First, we're speculating for fun. Miami should draft ~16th at worst. Given that, there will be no must have QB available and, if there were, Miami would more likely trade down for more draft picks. QBs have value in trades.

I know you do. I just feel that drafting defense would just be continuing Grier's mentality, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It isnt just the Chop pick though, we have been doing this since Charles Harris. (Or hell, even Dion Jordan, if Grier had any say in that pick)

We have been trying to force edge rushers (Hell, even corners) into our system at the expense of quality starters elsewhere.

They need to first, realize that the offense is a problem, and second, actually address that problem head on. No more of this half assed approach we have been seeing.

Fix the O, and then fix the D.

I used to be on board with getting the best value for the pick, now I just want the damn thing fixed.
