I missed the 2nd half of the game because I had to go to the airport, but I knew after watching 1 1/2 quarters of today's game I could see that it was a continuation of the last 2 weeks.
Hartline and RT were not on the same page, RT missing an easy TD by over throwing Wallace, and Wheeler and Carroll just being Wheeler and Carroll. The play calling and poor use of the running game looked the same as the last couple of weeks.
The Dline and oline were ineffective, and have been for weeks. Starks , Wake and Solai have not made any plays in the last few weeks. The Oline is a patchwork mess at best.
I believe that this team has serious divisions in the locker room (including the Incognito suspension) and during some point in the season some of the players lost faith in Philbin and Shermin. I believe that the majority of the team was " with the program" until it was evident that once the opposing teams found flaws in our scheme and plans, the coaching staff had no answer. When players are continually being put into bad positions and the staff is not making adjustments what would you do? Cash it in. they go through the motions.
The staff had no answers and the team simply gave up. This explains the poor defense, no rushing attack, and no scoring.
I was in favor of just canning Ireland and Shermin, but now I want them all gone. This team has some good parts, but we need an experienced Head Coach to put this group together.
Ireland has not done enough to save his job IMHO. Philbin has done nothing this year. He takes credit for keeping the "team together" but the players actually kept the team together.
Shermin proved 13 games ago that he is not even a good college coach. He is in way over his head.
We had muktiple chances to make the playoffs this year with this group of players. The GM, head coach, and both OC and DC held this team down.
Some may agree with me or disagree...but this is how I see it.
This team is not going anywhere with this group.
Ross...hitch your wagon to Tony Dungy as Director of Football Operations. Let him hire the GM and coaches. This staff cannot compete in the AFC east.
Marone in Buffalo kicked our buts twice this year. We lost to team that have not won a game, 4th team QB's.
These guys cannot beat out Marone! How will we beat Belichick, Harbaugh, Reid, on a regular basis?
Our staff is in the bottom 10, and so is this team.
Is all of this so hard to see?
