Teammates Bullied Martin

Why aren't more fingers being pointed in accusation at Turner?????

Following up on my earlier post in this emotional thread that is at risk of spiralling out of control, regardless of whether you believe a)it's a far cry from bullying or is the epitome of it, b)if Martin is not sufficiently strong or macho, he's inviting the abuse or under no circumstances should he put with this, and/or he's got personal issues maybe even sexual that in a football context shouldn't be rationalized or excused considering the game he's getting a lot to play or since we don't know the extenuating circumstances there's an inappropriate rush to judgment of him as a quitter.. (did I get them all?)

in any of those cases, IMO it's undeniable that this unwanted attention and potentially large distractor is detrimental to the team. If you agree with this supposition, no matter what side you come out on, fingers have to be pointed at Jim Turner, the OL coach who presumably spends long days with this guy. Either through his drill sergeant macho persona, he's either intentionally encouraged the toughening up of Martin or enabled it. Ain't no way he was oblivous to the problems. So I hold him responsible for any resulting issues. Couple that accountability with that although seemingly accomplished as an OL coach at several NCAA programs, this is his first NFL gig brought along by Sherman, just like he did his worthless son in law to coach Tannehill. It's true that while collegiatte experience can portend professional experience, it's not necessarily a corollary (no matter what BS standard deviation error you choose to slap on it!). Sooooooo...

..being either overtly or covertly responsible for simmering what now is a mess on his "micro" watch, may have created an exclusionary tough guy climate, and can likely turn into much worse, coupled with the fact that no matter how entertaining his hard-nosed act was on HK, he has not produced, so IMO he seems pretty worthless and has got to go sooner than later!

Oh stop it, another misdirection to pamper JMartin. The finger needs to be pointed at himself. JMartin needs to be an adult, and just say hey I dont like to be teased and have being pranked on, screamed at, told to be toughen up, get stronger.

In a matter fact, I dont think no one needs to speak to him any more. Just let him do what he wants to do, train himself, motivate himself, have a relationship with him. And if he doesnt produce cut him.

To the contrary, you seem like the kind of guy who despite your wife getting secret calls at all hours, working late uncharacteristically, coming home and running into the shower, you'd be blaming her "co-conspirator" although all the evidence was in front of you but ignored because it was the less bumpy road to take.

Considering how poorly Turner coaches up the OL, and the fact that this happened on his watch, your eagerness to indemnify him speaks to a single closed-minded agenda.

Ummm no thats what you are actually doing. Your taking the blame off your wife and getting mad at the dude who banging your wife. If you wife is hot, then other men are going to flurt (thats life). Apparantly nothing out of the ordinary happened in the locker room. Obviously is JMartin who cant handle the work enviroment.

No , Turner is your equivalent of a cuckold.. ignoring all the evidence and blaming the most convenient, or anyone but yourself for standing by and letting it happen again and again. And you don't know what happened in the locker room.. we only know that Turner who's now for the first time coaching grown men with big bank accounts considers himself a hard-azz .

Vaark you cant say "dont know what happened in the locker room", because me or you cant make any statement if we go by that. Whats been reported so far is "NOTHING UNUSUAL". So how can you conclude that anyone knew that JMartin was going to crack besides Martin himself. At the end of the day Martin needs to be an adult and hold himself accountable.

Nobody but Martin to blame Vaark.

I'd say an O line coach is the last dude in the world to turn around estabilished locker room culture.

The choice is a hard one isn't it?

On one hand, maybe everything is perfect in perfectville. No problems in Miami and every thing is perfect. It is just that our record of ten years makes you think it is not perfect. So Martin must be the issue.
On the other hand, maybe Miami is not full for perfect coaches and players just yet.

Is Turner a Felon? Martin is. He used a teammates care without authorization.

Huh? LOL sound like you just smoked one and shared some enlighting thoughts lol

less than optimal way? Stop pampering him, he could be FIRED for JOB Abandonment.

His life is not being threaten, no one is intimidating him, they were not attacking him, being unfair, no discrimination. When we reach a certain age we have to be adults, learning how to comminicate is part of an adult responsibility. You cant keep blaming others for you actions or expecting others to be your parent. At some point you HAVE to deal with life and dont expect others to do it for you.

Even HR will tell you that to a certain point you have to deal with people your self.
Again, focusing on what Martin did does not absolve the other people at fault here from blame for what they did. You can believe Martin is the one more wrong here, but that doesn't mean the other people involved in this weren't wrong.

*I'm not saying you're wrong Goon but neither am I saying you're right; only that the response so far is Pavlovian and reflects the kind of jurors OJ would want if he ever got out of prison remarried and then slit her throat. Too much of a rush to judgment.. after all "judge others as ye shall want to be judged!"

**so then Bush wasn't and Obama isn't responsible for the transgressions and malfeasances of any their appointees, conducted by their charges, under their watches even though those violators were in the minority of all appointees right? And considering how he has his line playing, it's not like you can overlook his lack of control because of it.

But you cant impliment anyone outside of JMartin behavior, because no one has reported doing anything that would warrant walking off the team.

If they didn't physically lay their hands on Martin, I'm sorry he has no leg to stand on. This is football not real life.
