This tells me that teams prepare for the Patriots as if it's their SB. They win. Take a deep breathe. Then...get blown out the next week.

Do people think this is a coincidence? Sign of something?

Well beating the Patriots is kind of like our Super Bowl.

Exactly. And if a team wins a SB, do they prepare for an opponent the following day? No. They are still on cloud 9. I think winning on that miracle play made the team celebrate that much more.

Beating New England raises expectations significantly and these teams can’t handle that pressure.

Point is it's up to the coaches to ensure we don't get too high after winning a week 14 game. Point is I seen this Minnesota blowout coming a mile away.
Thank goodness. And I thought we are just a bad team. So the solution to it all is: don't beat the Patriots anymore and all is good. :ponder:

yeah we need to stop beating the pats from now on and we'll be just fine.....instead of 6-10 we'll be 7-9

When you beat a certified serial cheater the pressure (*P-R-E-S-S-U-R-E*) is like a football migraine!

Seriously. My Yammie kinda "toyed" with the Cheats just to embarrass them with 7 seconds to go!

The results of our season, heretofore, are subliminal!

That Vikings game had disaster written all over it:
-road game vs a desperate team with a physical defense
-they had just switched coordinators- what do we prepare for? Will it energize them, or make a mess?
-we came off a miracle win. Teams coming off those wins often have an emotional let down after.
Although I am not sure beating the Patriots the week prior had anything directly to us losing to Minn, in preparing for the Patriots, a team probably puts everything they have into a game like that. It is probably common that a letdown occurs after. I am curious to see how Pittsburgh does this week.

I figured Gase was going to take the team to Disney World on the days off he gave the team.
I’m surprised the players didn’t demand it because apparently beating the Patriots in Miami is the end all and be all of the Miami Dolphins season.

I think there might be something to the idea that players and coaches shoot their wad when they have the Patriots up next and it takes something out of them the next week.
