I just read a story by Gil Brandt about who the 7 teams he thinks have to come out of this draft (or off season) with a QB. The Jets are one, the Steelers are another. The reason I did not link the story is because of what it did not say. For the first time in many years, the Dolphins are not on such a list. For me, that is the story. And I do not play Fantasy football but to start hearing about people adding Dolphins like Tannehll and C Clay to their team? Wow. new day in Miami!

Yeah having a formidable and improving QB is definitely a blessing. Tannehill has faltered here and there this season, but he's always come back strong and made great plays to either win, or at least keep us in the game.

On the fantasy note, it's interesting that Tannehill + Clay may be a popular thing to see now. I always laughed at ppl I know who play fantasy and pick Fins players like Hartline and Lamar Miller, because our offense is fairly inconsistent each week. One week great numbers, next week quiet. But Clay stepping up has set the tone for good production each game. I'm sure him doing well has defense's and coaches concerned, and will hopefully open up routes for our other receivers.

Also good to know we are not shopping for a qb and 7others are. That can help lead to snagging a playmaker that another team doesnt or can't because of their need for a signal caller. Could help us move up or back in a given round too depending on how the chips fall. From a strategy perspective I like it.

great thread, i can breathe a sigh of relief that we not in the market for a QB. for once.

I remember I was driving down Ocean Drive on South Beach the day the Fins chose Culpepper over Brees. don't think i'll ever forget that day.........

Jets, steelers, browns, Texans, jags, vikes, bears, titans, cardinals(palmer is getting old), tb?, rams?, raiders, bills? About half the league could draft a qb.

Over the past 5 or so weeks Tannehill is between a top 5-8 fantasy quarterback, depending on the scoring system. He hasn't had huge games but he is very consistent which is great.

Tannehill will finish his sophomore season with over 20 passing TD's and his arm had to be the primary weapon for a team that failed to establish a consistent running game and had the most offensive line attrition and patchwork in the league. That's pretty good. There are still 3 more games to go though, and how Tannehill does when the playoffs are in sight is going to be revealing. I don't doubt he will come to play, but we learned a lot about Chad Henne when turnovers did him in during a playoff race in 2009.

you know your qbs starting to turn some heads when even ea sports madden sophomore qb phenoms commercials have tannehill as one of the 3 featured...no more rg3 hype...just luck wilson and tannehill...exactly who should be getting all the love in that class...

anyways it was good to see our outstanding young qb and face of the franchise getting some love...kid deserves it

I was always biased and picked a few phins for backups the last 2-3 years so that was I was glued to my cpu on Sundays tracking fantasy, I would still know the score of the phins game

i think this is another one of those years where people are gonna be jumping at qbs very early meaning we likely get a high end other position talent to fall in our laps...

a lot of talk that berger is gonna force his way out of pittsburgh after the season and if i was the steelers i would at least be looking for his potential replacement although i'm sure that they are in the o tackle market also...that's a heavily aging team about to really pay for the age it has...kind of team where it could all just fall apart from one season to the next with all the age they have playing heavy snaps...they better start cutting weight with some of it

Ya might have to add Foles to that list. I think his numbers are inflated in that system but you can't ignore his consistent play. I liked him coming out and I think in 10 years when we look back Cousins may be added to that list as well.

foles says to me system qb when i watch him...i see a guy really benefacting from the system and the looks it gives him more than a read the field and id coverage guy...it's hard to argue with the numbers but i know i wouldn't be hitching my wagon and dumping franchise money in that...not til he showed it for a long time...

And not even then unless you installed the same spread/option here...
