Browns, Ravens....

How does Saban not see this??? Maybe we should try it, we have nothing to lose....

I'm not blaming our losses on alll Mularkey, but I do believe he is part of the problem. We need a change.

Saban should fire Mularkey and call the plays himself, just as he called the defensive plays before.

Saban can't fire Mularkey because he will be the equivalent of Denny Green making the playcalls. We really need a good OC to take his place and there are none available. Denny Green is likely to lose his job at this point in time because they were actually far better with their OC than they are without.

Charlie Baggett for OC!!!!!!

In principle I agree with the firing of Mularkey but, it ain't happening in middle of season. Ravens did it because Billick was once an OC is qualified to do it. Saban has no OC backgroung whatsoever. Now, if it came down to him being a DC if Capers had completely bombed then that is a different story.

Apparently no one is out there that Saban is interested right now to replace MM or Saban is not ready to pull triggers. When there is a change unfortunately it will be after the season. I would be surprised if they make a switch sooner.

It's not so much the playcalling, but the execution of the plays themselves in my opinion. And although I'm all for a change at OC{couldn't hurt}, until we upgrade the the OL, it probably wont make any difference who's calling the plays....

The OL is the biggest reason why our offense is struggling in my opinion. You can plug Baggett / or any other OC in there, and I doubt we'd see much of a difference at this stage....

No running game to speak of, no QB protection, and the results are going to continue to remain poor. Changing OC's wont solve those problems, and it's a direct reflection of the current state of our OL in my opinion....

When it comes to our current offensive struggles, it's all up front as far as I'm concerned. Sure, Mularkey hasn't wow'd anyone with his playcalling, but he's been extremely limited as well based on the state of the OL....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Ditka was talking about this on Suday talking about the OC's that were fired. Like he said, there is no such that as a bad play call, there is only bad exicution. He says that even bad plays if exicuted the right way will not give a bad outcome.

I agree with what he says to a degree, but when you the fins and passing 61 times to a WR core that drops more passes than the AFC North combined (exaggeration) (maybe?) that is bad play calling. There again when your always playing from behind its hard to run the ball and clock.

Cardinals fired their O-coordinator and got blasted at Green Bay. So much for your theory. However, at the end of the season, I believe Mularkey needs to go.

They also got killed by Oakland the week before. So a change of OC and they got worse from the Bears D then the OC switch got them a loss to the Raiders and Packers....Dennis Green is in hot water.
Finally Mularkey is the worst coordinater weve had in a while. He's one and done here.:dolphins:

All the guys that got fired were not in the first year position were they? Secondly, they've only won 1 game. Hardly enough to call it a 'winning' move. Let's revisit this thread in 5+ games.
