Tebow on the Trade Block, Miami Dolphins a possibility

rofl tebow farking sucks. you guys are hilarious. SIGN THAT GUY! WHAT THE HELL WHY NOT?

I think if Denver can get out of paying Tebow 6.3 million . . . they will do it. Too much of a distraction and coming here he could be used in a numerous amount of ways.

In July Tebow was pegged to be the starter this season for the Broncos. Now he is their third string QB. Considering the decline he is on at the moment, it wont be long before he is cut. So why bother even trading for him? Its not as if he has proven he can play any other position.

Exactly.... the Broncos have already killed any trade value he had by sticking him 4th on the depth chart. Although I'd probably give up a combination of Merling and a late rounder, etc.... which essentially amounts to getting him for nothing.

He'd have to be willing to restructure his contract though. I'm not paying his $6 million roster bonus, and if Denver pays it, they're likely not going to trade him after they do anyway.... unless they can get a 1st rounder or something along those lines back in return. (which nobody in this league is going to get for their "4th string" quarterback)

No matter what anyone gives for him OR if he stays ... you'll be able to pick him up for free within a year or 2.

If he gets cut, I'm certain the Bills will put in a waiver claim. He's exactly what Gailey likes, and Fitz hasn't looked good this preseason.

Pat White version 2.0

I'm just intrigued by what he can bring this team in the redzone. Dude has the intangibles and the work ethic . . . I've seen enough of Tebow to know not to gamble against him. He may never get it as a QB, but he fits what "Sparano" wants to do on offense.

Yea the less informed fans will probably want to see him at QB, but if Miami positions him right, he could be a hell of a weapon for this team.

lol after the Orton mess, Denver should just hand us Tebow. Imagine the position they would be in right now (though maybe they wanted to "Luck" out).

This is the part that doesn't quite vibe with me...

Nobody was harder on Tebow as a quarterback prospect coming out of Florida than I was... he was a 3-4 year project as far as being an NFL quarterback is concerned.

He's yet to "suck" in a game. It wasn't too long ago that the Broncos were ready to trade Kyle Orton and go into the season with Tebow as their starting quarterback... something doesn't add up.

I think Denver dropped him to 4th on their depth chart in the hopes that it would settle down some of Tebow's cult following that he has within the Broncos fanbase. They can't function properly as an organization when Kyle Orton is constantly getting boo'ed in practice, and Tebow's followers keeping a controversy stirred up all the time. I believe Denver thought that as long as they had him as the backup or 3rd stringer, it only instigated more controversy.

Brady Quinn was a 1st round pick too... he didn't get picked in the 1st round because he can't throw the football in practice or in workouts... he can.

Tebow is worth the project for Miami. A "project" that is a natural born leader, and has thrown more touchdowns than interceptions in the games he was allowed to play... that's more than Miami can say for their starting quarterback if you choose to take a practical look at the situation.

Tim Tebow will never be a Brady, Manning, Rivers, Brees, Ryan, Rodgers, etc. caliber quarterback. Forgettaboutit. However, he won't be outworked or outhustled by anybody in the league, and he can help his team in other ways that not many players can WHILE he developes as a quarterback.

Tebow's floor is quite different than most developmental quarterbacks.... there's not any significant downside in allowing him to play in certain situations in REAL game situations while you continue to work with him.

No that it means much but Jimmy Sexton is the Agent of both Tim Tebow & Tony Sparano.
