Tebow on the Trade Block, Miami Dolphins a possibility

I don't quite understand the eagerness of everyone to move him to a new position right now. The guy has started only 3 games (on a terrible team last year, mind you, with no running game help) and managed to put up average to above average numbers especially for a rookie

He threw 5 TDs to 3 INTs for 654 yards, while running for another 6 TDs and 227 yards on 43 rushes. That is an 82.1 QB rating btw. If Pat Devlin in came and put up those numbers as a rookie, members of this site would be anointing him our future franchise QB.

Yes, his mechanics are an issue, and that may never change, but if he produces would you really give a **** about his mechanics?

It's not even moving him . . . he will be the #3 QB . . . and with the new QB rules, he can play all 4 quarters . . . so now you have one of the great red zone weapons in the league and a guy you can continue to develop as a QB.

I mean Devlin is cool and all, but if you are looking for impact THIS year, Tebow is a much better fit and quite honestly he is a better QB prospect. I know some people don't wanna hear that, but he is.

I thin Devlin makes it to the PS anyways.

I'm ok with keeping him at QB, but I know most of the people on this site have a problem with it. Even if that's not an option, I'd still be willing to trade for him.

Absolutely. He is a known project and still has managed to find a niche to make him useful right now, and has even had some success as Denver's full blown starter, so I really don't see the downside, as well as the evidence for some to conclude that he has no chance of ever making it in the NFL.

It's more than his mechanics... he also doesn't process information on the field as quickly as an NFL quarterback must do in this league. He doesn't know where to go with the football vs. certain looks and coverages. Neither does Alex Smith, and he's been in the league for 6 years. It goes back to Urban Meyer's system they both played in college.

If it was only his mechanics, he'd be starting. Kenny Stabler had some of the worst mechanics I've ever seen, but he was effective.

I'm also a pro-Devlin guy, but he's not a better developmental quarterback prospect than Tim Tebow. Nor can Devlin help his team in actual game situations along the way while he works out his kinks.

The point of acquiring Tebow is to play him at another position that can help you, while he can still be your emergency #3 quarterback. If you're just looking to get him for the sake of keeping him at quarterback, and never letting him on the field until he can outplay all your other quarterbacks in practice.... you're wasting your time.

Yea if this happens its because Ross wants him. Reggie and tebow may not equal victories but would equal ticket sales.
