Tebow has a long release, stares down receivers, has suspect accuracy, and his teammates cant stand him. Denver is a few weeks away from self-destruction. Sadly, they just entered the Luck race.

I fully understand the side of this argument you are attempting to make but most of you S4L posters dont seem to understand that there is no gauruntee that getting Luck and a new regime will make us into a winning team for the years to come... If you are a fan of the Dolphins you don't root for them to lose, that is just a fact... We suck right now, there is no mediocrity about us... You are going to get you wish of a high draft pick and a new regime but rooting for it is still asinine...
 
Why can't some people understand that, at this point, rooting to win= rooting for a mediocre 5-7 win season. You can't seperate the two unless you just want to completely ignore reality. If you are rooting for a mediocre season, then you are rooting for a mediocre draft pick. None of us like the fact that getting Luck is the only positive that can result from from our record this year, but thats where an 0-4 start and a a season ending injury to our QB has left us. These are the cards we have been dealt. We are not bad fans just because we are looking at the long term instead of rooting for a season full of moral victories.

If your allegiance to the team does not allow you to root for losses I can respect that. However, just understand that those on the other side are still rooting for the Dolphins franchise as a whole, just from a different perspective.

You are right, you do have to take chances to replace Marino and if we are in a position to draft Luck, then you pull the trigger... I am sorry but rooting for it is still stupid... Most of you guys have been on the Luck bandwagon since before the season even started. So before you even knew what the product on the field was going to be you were rooting for us to lose. Please do not hide behind the, "I knew how bad we were before the season started" because you same people would not have thought that the Bills would be at the top of the division.

Let it be known that I was the ONLY Mod/Admin to predict anything less than a .500 record (5-11) this season and I was BRUTALIZED for that. Also, let it be known that I predicted an 8-8 record last season as well. Could it be possiblethat maybe...just maybe....I'm pretty good at this?

Guys we all want the same thing. Rooting against your team is not in anybody's nature. SFL was born out of frustration and hope for a better tomorrow. That's something we all agree on.

Drafting Luck and grabbing the best possible regime for our team is the BEST POSSIBLE scenario we could be in next season, and for the next 15 years.

As for the "no guarantee" thing....... seriously, can you tell me how much money you make? What's your job? You sound like a loser.

You never take a risk unless you are "guaranteed" something?

I guess with that LOSER philosophy, I should probably fold my pocket aces preflop against a single all-in raise for that same reason

Please don't try to classify me because I fully understand this team and have THOUGHT things through. We suck and I could care less if we go 0-16, 5-11 (which by the way is not mediocre), 12-4... As long as we compete and play hard... Sometimes your team is just not that good but I will not root for this team to lose, plain and simple... People have been rooting for Luck since before the season started and it is pathetic... Now we are freaking out because Tim freaking Tebow might start and we could beat him.. We will beat the Broncos if we are meant to regardless of Tebow or not and to freak out about and post about it is pathetic...

Seriously who the EFF are you to ask me a question like that and make an assumption like that but since you asked I will answer your *******... I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and make really good money...

Rather than say you are rooting for winning seasons in the future, you should say that you are rooting for the rebuilding process that may or may not help us win in the future... Please don't make the assumption that I support the regime in charge right now because I don't. But the regime is going to be replaced by Ross, so are you really that hopeful? If we get Gruden, he likely will not draft Luck because he prefers veteren QBs. Cowher is not coming out of retirement, so who do yo think we are going to get?
