Tebow will be starting against us on "Gator Day" in OUR stadium

and watch him have a career game

I really don't give a crap about some stupid pregame celebration, and it wouldn't keep me from going to the game. Just like I wouldn't avoid a game because they had a crappy singer for the National Anthem.

Oh great! We get to be his first win as a starter...
Too late...Houston had that honor last season.

Generalizing again? You guys? Excuse me.. People from Miami say it. Your media say it.

Don't get mad at me/us. All I'm saying is, if you're not going to go to the game, be thankful someone else is so you can watch it on TV.

Your excused and nobody is mad at anything. Filling the stand with fans of the other team makes no sense to me.

I hope he doesn't have a career day or even a good day against us. I hate the Gators. Our "luck", he'll run for 150 yards and 2 TDs and throw for about the same line.

By trying to grasp at straws and honor not only an in-state rival, but also the opposing QB who started on said rival team, and then going ahead and embracing that, we're alienating 2/3 of our fans who happen to be college football fans of the Big 3 Florida teams. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Unless there are markedly more Gators fans then there are Canes (in particular) and Noles (to a lesser extent) in the area that will buy tickets all the time, it's a short term fix that creates a bigger headache down the road. "Who cares if we alienate Miami and Florida State fans for the next few years? We actually sold 500 more tickets at the Broncos game than we did any other home game!!! Isn't that terrific?!"

Completely stupid move.

Instead of a hostile enviroment he'll think he's back in the Swamp and go nuts on us.
We should pull a Gator flop on Denver to satisfy the SFL crowd if we're winning.

Why should you care? If Miami fans aren't buying them, you should be happy someone is so the game isn't blacked out.
I just think it's a perfect microcosm of the ineptitude and stupidity this franchise has displayed over the past 10 years. I understand we are trying to sell tickets, but at what cost? This franchise is losing its dignity (whats left of it) by continuing to do things like this. How can the players get motivated to play in a game like this when the franchise and half the stadium is celebrating the quarterback of the other team?

This is spot on.

lol @ Nublar saying they're not honoring Tebow, they're honoring the Gators' Championship. Oh sure so why don't they do this during a Jets game then and bring some other players of that championship team? Nope it's just a coincidence they're doing it when Tebow and the Broncos are in town right?

Gee, they're just trying to sell tickets that totally absolves them of spitting in the face of a city and fanbase. This is something a professional organization just cannot do. It's an insult to the city where they're based. God forbid they actually improve the product in an effort to sell tickets. It's much better just to rely on idiotic gimmicks. Why don't we hand out meth at the gate and try to fill the stadium with methheads. They're classier than Gator fans.

Maybe next year we can celebrate the Jets SB win in 1968.

If your intend is to alienate loyal fans and complete destroy team moral (what little is left)
This may be a great idea after all.
