I'm sure EVERYONE agrees on this one.....He's as good as gone because of his high cap number and the large cap savings after we cut him....tomorrow. But why did we wait so long to cut bait? Did we gain any advantage by keeping him?

Has the front office been re-negotiating in an attempt to keep him?

What gives?

Last years injury is the reason.

I happen to work with TBs brother in CT and when I asked him about TBs contract situation he told me something about how the fact thet TB got injured last season and did not finish the year the dolphins need to tread lightly as to not get into any legal problems. The word on TB is that he only wanted to play 1 more year anyway! SO maybe he will restructure and be had for his last year real cheap. P.S. I drove by TB today on my way home today. He is in town riding his big land rover.

Fins for life!!

He is gone as of now, but the reason was that we don't have to be under the cap until Mar. 3...that said, renegotiations have been going on with all the guys to ease the cap number. He wasn't that bad a player, he actually played very well for a few games, once he got the system, and then he was injured. If you look at our secondary from last year, it was terrible until about the 7-8 games where they started playing the system for what it is...whether that be becasue they hadn't bought into it or because they just didn't gel together is up for speculation. But, as you said...$6.8 mil would never have kept him on the team....
