Ted Ginn: Greatest Reverse Runner Ever

Ginn has 700 yards receiving?!

I can't be the only one whose surprised by that number. That's a damn solid season. (and it ain't over)

I have slowly started to come around on Ginn. He is showing a little more every week. This *3 Year* argument is bullcrap, though. He's a playmaker. He's at least as good as Chambers, and, he's certainly got better hands. He's got to play tougher, though. We'll see how he goes. I'm definitly seeing him in a better light now.

I was also surprised by those numbers. I can't see why people would be disappointed with his progress. Those are solid numbers for a second year wide receiver. The two reverses for touchdowns are really just extra.

Glad for anything he does to help the team but i'm no fan. He never switches the ball to the proper hand or side when running down either sideline and he never covers up when he runs into traffic. Regardless of how many fumbles he may or may not have had this year, he's a fumble waiting to happen. Even my 8 year old nephew who plays pop warner, knows how to correctly run with the football. My nephew is also not a ***** when he runs with the ball. Looks like the coaches are finally getting fed up with it too. First he was yanked from punt returns and now the kick-offs. It's Football 101 and this guy still plays on a 6th grade level. Take away his speed and he's an Arena League football player at best. But as i posted in my 1st sentence, I am glad for anything he does to help the team, just not a fan.

I would run this same exact play (the Ginn reverse) on our first play on offense against the Jets next week. I would just add a little spin to it and have Bess flying down the sidelines and if Ginn is being covered tightly, you fake the handoff to Ginn and let fly downfield with a pass to Bess. People don't expect Noodle Arm Pennington to still have an arm so we have to go deep.

that last statement u made is beyond ridiculous have u seen his catching ability ... hes in the nfl watch some replays and ull see he does switch maybe not every time but he does and the man can play some ball

I thought I was harsh.

as mentioned there is definitely a wrinkle coming from this, and come on teddy has been solid for us this year lets give him some love. I know it's not easy to see because there isn't a stat for it, but ted ginn is double teamed almost every play, with other guys making plays teams will stop DT him, and then hopefully ginn makes a huge play.

He is what he is: talented, but one dimensional. He'll see better mismatches when we get some more talent around him on offense, and some ball-hawking DBs giving us the ball back so our OL can wear out defenses like the Giants did to the Panthers last night.

As for ST, don't get me started. Somebody needs to make him watch Braveheart a dozen times a day.

Like d-day said, I'm happy for anything he does to help our team win. It's just been more frustrating rooting for him than I'd like it to be sometimes.

Eh, Ginn is getting there. As a side note, I'd love to see one deep completion from Pennington against the Jets. Because they cut him for, you know, his arm strength.

That would look sweet in the box score, wouldn't it?

"80 yard TD from Pennington to Ginn."

Lets remember that his stats are somewhat skewed by that one fantastic 175 yard game he had against Buffalo. He had almost 25% of his total yards in that one game.

In his worst 8 games he has 18 catches for 180 yards. Not so hot in my book. He's young and hopefully he will continue to improve but honestly I think he gets far more love than he deserves. I'd keep Bess over Ginn if it came down to it.

Don't say that, he's starting to remind me of Chambers.
