He is still a bit injured allegedly, but:

"Most NFL scouts said their stopwatches timed Ted Ginn Jr. in 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash during his private workout in Columbus, Ohio."

There seems to be mixed opinions on this board about Ted Ginn Jr. For those of you that have the man crush on Ginn I say that for a guy who is 5'11 178 lbs soaking wet (not 6'0 like his agent says) I would think that he should be faster in the 40 to be worth the risk. The risk being that he might be too small to be an effective wideout in the NFL and may not be durable and strong enough (especially considering how he is STILL recovering from this foot injury) considering his size or lack of it.

He may end up being a great player, but I just think the risk is very high with him. If we were going to go wideout, I'd rather see us pick up someone like Dwayne Bowe or Robert Meachem.

Well, I don't have a Man Crush on Ginn, I would like us to take him with the 1st pick.

If not and take AQUAMANS favorite choice Brady Quinn, then Jason Hill in the 2nd.

I think there are atleast 2 other names on this roster who could handle ted ginns spot rather nicely thank you! how about Az-Zahir or Kelly campbell?

I'm not interested in Ginn at all, especially at #9. Overhyped by some around here to the extreme.

This whole height and size thing on Ginn is actually a rather lame excuse to to pick him up.

Heck in the NFL's run and shoot heyday Ginn would be considered BIG

One thing that can't be argued against is that when he has the ball in his hands is to be prepared for some fantastic moves...

Remember he came to Ohio State as a CB so yes he's raw, but the potential is phenominal...

sorry that was supposed to be "a rather lame excuse not to pick him up."

brain went faster than fingers could type...

Just get Higgins in the fourth round or Yamon Figurs later than that. Ginn is definitely not worth the risk, especially since there are like 15 recievers in this draft who run a 4.4 AND BELOW!!

Ginn Has Football Speed And He Never Takes Plays Off Go Look At Film.. Most Of The Long Bombs He Caught Was When Smith Was Escaping The Blitz ............

football speed is often a term used to describe someone who is a 4.5 or above who has all the other intangibles for the position.......like catching the ball and running good routes and running multiple routes differently when the sudden need to audiblize and be on the same page as the QB when the blitz is coming yadda yadda yadda.

Ginn is not worth the risk. Stop this nonsense!

And Ginn is smaller than the rest. Nice mock draft. I don't know all the players but well thought out.

I like Brown in first, followed by Stanton and Rice or Kalil.

The mixed feelings on this board are not exclusive to Ginn. I've noticed more and more that some members here tend to develop an alligance towards a specific player(s), and some will just flat out fabricate, or regurgitate misinformation on other players to justify there own pick.

Left vs. Right, Windows vs. Mac......You could even post these Ginn threads (and others) in PoFo, and everyone there will still feel right at home.

Like sheep in a manger, never able to spring to freedom and in need of jesus. Not that needing Jesus is a bad thing, quite contrary, a very good thing, but its a humanistic analogy.

See your wrong, there is alot of people who can run 4.38 with out pads, alot of em.. Now take those same players film and compare them to Ginn with pads on there is no way Ginn is too explosive from the line......... SPEED KILLS
