Now that the draft is over, who would you of rather taken Ted Ginn Jr. or Brady Quinn

It's not really about Ted or Brady.....
It is Quinn or Beck.
The staff had Beck rated slightly higher than Quinn.

But I was very happy with the Ted Ginn Jr. pick at nine.

My Top 3 in order for the #9 pick.
1) L. Landry
2) Ted Ginn Jr.
3) Patrick Willis

Why next season? It takes a QB atleast 3 years to develop.

Maybe the average QB needs 3 years but those who are supposed to be "franchise qbs" are usually thrown to the wolves sooner.

Even if it takes a QB atleast 3 years to develop as you say, it usually takes 2 years for a WR to develop. Thus my reason for the next season comment.

Kill the thread. Everyone has already expressed their view. Only time will prove which is the best pick.

The staff did NOT have Beck rated slightly higher than Quinn.

The Dolphins left Provo, Utah, so confident in Beck that they decided they could bypass former Notre Dame standout Brady Quinn, whom they had rated second among quarterbacks on their draft board behind JaMarcus Russell. Quinn and Beck were so closely rated by the Dolphins that they felt the better value was Beck in Round 2.

i like ginn, always have and we need speed and REAL talent at the wr position as well as kick and punt returns. but.......

we also need a franchise qb and when one falls into your lap YOU TAKE HIM, expecially if it is a prime need.

now, we can debate his skills or lack of forever and ever but we will not know the real answer for another two years.

this is bad drafting not taking the franchis qb and reaching for a wr who neds work and has a bum foot. this was a HUGE gamble by the finz, not calculated genious as they want us to believe. and this very well could start the clock ticking on cam ran.

do i hope ginn lights it up and all is well? hell yes!! but wheather he does or doesnt isnt the issue, whn your a new coach and gm and your picking top 10 and your franchise has a possible franchise qb in its lap, YOU TAKE IT!! that is good sound drafting. the finz did NOT draft soundly, they wagered there careers on a speed guy who has one of the worst foot injuries you can have.

the pick should have been quinn.

i would've stayed mad at the fins for not drafting quinn had he gone in the next few picks after #9 but several teams passed on him making me trust cam and randy's decision to pass on him...also i'm more eager to see beck develop into a nfl qb and i think quinn has less potential, leinart was a winner, quinn was a good player on a good team, he never gave me the impression he could lead an NFL team to a fourth quarter comeback

Ted is a terrific player and injects speed into the offense and ST. This is a player Miami has not seen the likes of before, he is a game changer.

Sure Brady Quinn would have been nice. He was the big name quarterback from the big name school who fell into our laps like Marino did in 84'. However, many experts and fans will tell you that if Brady went to a smaller school and didn't have much TV time, he might not have been taken until the 2nd or 3rd round.

Ginn was the best choice because of the speed he brings to the team and the fact that we landed Beck early in the second round to be the QB. Fact is, Beck fits Cameron's system a lot better then Quinn would have. Also, I don't even know if Quinn is that much better then Beck. Beck might turn out to be a steal and Quinn could just falter and be another bust.
