Ted Ginn Jr.

Maybe yes, maybe no. I remember at draft time many analysts were saying that Ted Ginn wasn't even the best WR on his team, not to mention the draft.

He'd be a blue and white god. They've made a decent player out of freakin Devin Aromashadu.

Ginn has 4.3 speed, he is not big. It would help to have a QB that could take advantage of his strengths and not his weakness.

He would have been gone at 10 if we didnt take him the Teaxen already said they would have taken him

Who cares where he would have gone? If we weren't going to pick him. That would be some other teams mistake. And alot of teams say they want a certain player even though they might be coveting another.
It makes no difference now. We all know we have a major project with Ginn as a wide receiver. Whats done is done. let coaches figure out what to do. Which they may already have. By not starting him.

Only way a that will happen is if the boy can learn to get open. And be more of a physical receiver. We all know his strength is his speed. Now he just needs to learn how to use it in NFL. And his weaknesses we all know too. He isn't all that physical or shifty.

But that is why alot of teams have wide receiver coaches.

Ginn can't use his speed to get open in the limited amount of time and space where Penny can get him the ball. I agree he has to get better and more physical, but that is not his strength and never will be. Penny doesn't have the arm to take advantage of Ginns speed. My big question is why Ginn isn't returning punts and kick offs. That to me makes no sense.

Well he better get more physical if he wants to be successful in NFL otherwise all he will ever be is possibly a kick returner if that.

Well the kick offs I am not too sure about but the punt returns he looks way too timid. The coaches may see the same in his kickoff returns also.

After last year, I think they might put him on kick off returns. The thing with Ginn is he isn't a #1 ( wow I get tired of that statement around here). He could be a damn good #2 if we had a #1 guy to take some double teams, and a QB to get them the ball beyond 10 yards.

I agree we do definitely need another receiver. And as of right now I can't even fathom Ginn being a decent 2nd receiver. Althouth if we were to get 2 more receivers he could learn to be a 3rd guy like a Gonzalez for Indy.

Whether Camarillo or Bess or whoever decides to step up and be those guys I don't know. But we definitly need someone to show up.

Neither Mark Clayton or Mark Duper were any bigger or faster than Ginn, but they found ways to get open like Fitz and Boldin.

I understand they also had Dan Marino throwing the ball, but as wide open at Fitz and Boldin were the 3 stooges could have been the QB...still Ginn should be able to get space within 10-15 yards so Penne can throw him the dam ball.

Please spare me... comparing TG to Dupe and Clayton... c'mon son...

I dunno but his teammate has been fairly good for the Colts playing a #3/4 position.

Didn't Gonzaleus have like nine catches last week. That has got to be more than Ginn has had in his career.

Well Ginn was partly drafted to help open up Chambers and Booker more. Well both of them are gone and there’s no other receiver that defenses should respect except maybe Ernest Wilford. Defenses will be watching Ginn all the way so he can’t go deep, he can’t catch and run, and the offense can’t even establish a running game to set up the pass. The new regime didn’t pick Ginn and they don’t even use him to return a majority of the kicks/punts. The only logical reason for them to be patient with him is the fact that this team is in a rebuilding stage and has nobody better at receiver.

He will not be cut , the huge singing bonus is non refundable. He is a top10 pick and i feel for this guy. Has he even played 1 game and took every offensive snap?.
