Ted Ginn vs. Troy Williamson

there is no comparison whatsoever, Ginn runs better route and he is faster and has way better hands.

Pennington arm's is a liabilty to Ginn Development because what ginn's specialty can't be used.

-- Doesn't Pennington have a 120 Career QB rating on Passes over 20 yards? I mean that's one of the highest in the game today. Are you telling me that he used to be good with Long Passes, but now he isn't?

Frerotte had a strong arm, but always seemed to miss on the long ball. So I don't like your premise.

yes pennington used to be good at deep throws before his shoulder got shredded. how many throws over 15 yards have you seen him throw this year? its kinda hard to stretch the field when your qb can't get anything on a ball to go deep

Pennington is not the problem. He did fine with Coles and Moss and led them to the playoffs multiple times. The problem is Ginn and our offense as a whole.

-- I remember a perfectly-thrown long ball to Willford last week, 30 or 40 yards down the field... and Wilford dropped it. Ouch Wilford! :)

that is before he had a rotator cuff problem, yes the guy has all the smarts, but it doesn't help our running and our recivers when defenses play so close. since our recievers aren't big or strong it is easier for them to get bench. if you guys watch the game the velocity on his balls is just pathethic. his pass are floaters! FLOATeRs!.

Also Dan Henning was the wrong Offense Coordinator ( 66 year old), we needed some young guy. He is too conservative! nothing worst then a conservative coordinator.

The velocity is not great! but I am willing to watch for one season so henne could seat.

are you telling me that pennington cant throw an accurate deep ball.... he is a starting qb in the nfl, i can throw the ball 40 yards down the field so there is no way in the world that he cannot accurately throw a 40 to 50 yard ball down the field accuratly. what experts mean by no arm strength is that he cannot make the 60 to 70 yard throws that brady could make and that mike vick used to make.. you need to stop posting stupid crap here and go reassess your life so you dont look and sound like a complete idiot

I am disappointed in Ginn so far, but I can't help but question how our two coaching staffs have used him. In my opinion, he would be best utilized dragging across the middle of the field like Andre Reed used to kill us with in the early 90's.

I also don't understand why we don't use him to return kicks. If he proved anything last year, he proved that he is electric in the return game. Even if never develops as a receiver, he could still be a game-changing returner.
