Me and my brother were talking about this today and I know this has been said before but Ted Ginn isnt really that good at returning kicks. I saw someone post stuff like Ginn is one of the best returners in the league and crap like that and i just dont understand where theyre getting this from?

Because he returned 2 against the Jets, both of them for 100+ yards?

I mean every week he runs to the sidelines, goes down at the slightest touch and doesnt even get us that good of field position. He just barely makes it to the 25 alot of the time. Every once in awhile he'll have a decent return but im just curious if anyone else agrees that hes really not as good as some people make him out to be as a return man...

When I watch those 2 returns against the Jets this year those were reminiscent of the way he ran on his returns in college. I dont know why he chose to return like that when we played the Jets but he looked explosive and had good cuts that day. He never looked like that again since that day tho...

I mean hes not the worst returner and i guess you can say he has potential if you want to but in reality hes just really not that good. Hes too afraid.

**I will say im glad he has been catching the ball lately for the most part. Hes still been pretty unproductive but hes caught the ball when thrown to and had a long TD called back the other day. Hes just nothing special.

you would think he is terrible despite those 2 returns against the jets, but if you watched the steelers game today, they didnt kick it to him much, giving us really good field position.

he is the biggest threat we have to return kicks. who do you want back there?

hes not good at all

hartline would be a better option

He is ranked #6 with a 25.7 average. Cribbs had 3 TD's while Ginn and Percy Harvin each had 2.

In think this is more about him running out of bounds then his ability.

Quite a boost his average received with those 2 returns in NY no?:chuckle: I'd like to know his average without the two he took to the house.

How many times did Jake "the human turnstile" Long get beat by the Steelers pass rush today? I saw at least 3 times he was man handled or should I say...he whiffed on his block attempts. The guy is really over rated and cannot block speed rushers...he is too slow.

He's really not good at anything and he should be cut immediately.
He should have been cut a long time ago.
He should have never been drafted.
Think about it seriously... Would ANY TEAM want to trade ANYTHING for him?

Think objectively.

The defense looked awesome today, like a top five unit, they really stopped the Steelers in their tracks today, a total defensive effort all the way around. To hold the Steelers to 30 points, the DC needs the game ball. LMAO

nah your right he is our biggest threat but thats pretty sad.

getting beat a couple of times isnt bad. did you watch the game? lamar woodley was in the backfield EVERY SINGLE PLAY! And they kept letting him run free, and then they tried having ricky and lex block him (both failed). Even had lex and fasano double teaming him!! (he got a sack on that play). The pass blocking on the right side of the line was utterly disgusting today. And if any lineman is over-rated, it is vernon carey, he was beat a hell of alot more times than Long was.

The only thing good I can say about Ginn's kick returns is that hopefully it will increase his piss poor trade value.

He is an awful footballer and we got to get rid of him. Hopefully we can get something for him.

I like Hartline as a WR2 next year. I like both Bess and Camarillo in the slot. We just need a #1 WR. I don't want to give away picks for Marshall or Austin or Boldin. I think we're better off just drafting Dez Bryant at 1.12.
