Was Barry Sanders the best runningback of all time with the greatest vision? If you say yes then you never watch him play ever. What made Barry Sanders great was his ability to be in the right place or time. Yes he was shifty, he had speed, went east and west and west and east at any second but what set him apart was that he was a big playmaker.

Ted is not the best route runner in the draft, but this man is very explosive and is in the right place and right time to make plays. He knows where to go to make the plays and while he didn't have the greatest numbers in the draft compared to Georgia Techs Calvin, he is clearly the best playmaker in the first round chosen. We haven't had a playmaker at offense in years so this is the guy that we need. I compare him to Barry Sanders because of his raw play making ability.

Calvin Johnson was great physically but did you know that he also drops a lot of passes? Did you know that his acceleration is average for a receiver? If it weren't for ohio state for having so many stars in the offense taking a piece of the action then you would see Ginn have higher numbers than you would think.

Point is, this man is explosive and there is no player in our offense that any defense fears. Just go ask chambers.

Wow.....Now Ginn people are really reaching here. The Barry Sanders of WR's? Unbelievable.

Oh and I'll be sure to ask our questionable #1 WR (who has been a huge disappointment) to see how he feels about his friend Ginn.

Lets just hope he can play and get healthy for training camp.

I'd say thats a stretch to say the least.

WR's usually take a couple of years before they break out. I hope he is the next steve smith but its to early to be making comparisons to great players.

This year I think he will have a major impact returning kicks but I don't expect him to be a huge factor as a reciever.

I think the best thing us fans can do right now is just kep our expectaions low. No reason at all to think Ginn will be a superstar right now.

I'd say thats a stretch to say the least.

I'll be happy with him getting his foot out of the boot and him not having some lingering problem with that foot. We should run our med staff out of town with burning pitch forks if we end up with another Yatil Green situation. Knock on wood!

:chuckle:
Look, I like having Ginn on the squad ... but, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. That's all we need. Let's try not to put unrealistic expectations on players that have yet to see an NFL down.

BTW: you might want to change your sig.

He cant even play football right now. And I hear all these folks talking about how his injury is not a problem. Well......wouldnt you say there is not a problem after you just put the whole football world in shock?

I wont buy any of this superstar crap until he proves it week after week and is able to just play let alone do something spectacular.
